Rosie Innovators STEM Events are fun, hands-on experiences filled with science, technology, engineering, and math activities designed for elementary school students. These events can take place at after-school programs, scout troop meetings, community centers, and more. Each one is fully created and led by Rosie Innovators—young women in high school preparing to pursue careers in STEM.
As a Rosie Innovator, you'll research, develop, and present your own STEM project with the support of the Rosie Riveters team. These projects are a key part of inspiring the next generation and helping kids see themselves in STEM—starting early!
What You’ll Do:
- Design a STEM activity for elementary-aged students
- Get one-on-one mentoring from Rosie Riveters staff
- Receive sponsored support with materials (Rosie Riveters will fund all needed materials)and logistics
- Connect with local schools to lead your own STEM Night

Your project should be designed with younger students in mind and meet a few key criteria:
- It should take no more than five minutes to build.
- It must clearly demonstrate a STEM concept.
- It should use easily accessible materials (items you can find at home or order online).
- It must be safe—no hazardous tools or substances (e.g., no glue guns or knives).
- It should be hands-on and allow students to create something they can take with them.
