ENTRY DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JANUARY 25, 2026
ENTRY FEE: $250
DIGITAL IMAGE REQUIREMENTS: Not more than 2MB-4MB. Minimum 4 images, Maximum 6 ( 7 Max if you are adding an event/course offering). PDFs not accepted. Only JPEGs.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- We welcome all established and emerging Santa Fe artists!
- Artists must be Santa Fe County/City residents who have a body of quality work. We strongly recommend that artists who live too far away from the city center and/or in a gated community limiting public access consider sharing a studio with other artists near or within the City of Santa Fe.
- Must have a New Mexico CRS# number in order to collect Gross Receipts Tax on your sales.
- Must have liability insurance to cover your work at the Community Gallery Exhibit and when you welcome visitors to your studio. Usually an umbrella home insurance will cover this.
- All participants in a shared studio must enter their individual applicatiion and each pay the fee. We also do not arrange shared studios. You must arrange this on your own.
- All artists must have a website. We are no longer accepting only an instagram or facebook page.
- Make sure you list your studio address on the application under the contact info.
- Artist statements have a 200 word limit. We suggest longer statements should be on your website. Be brief: Shorter statements are often more effective because they respect the audience's attention span and prove confidence in your work. Be clear: Use simple language and avoid unnecessary jargon to make your work accessible to a wider audience.
Be specific: Every sentence should serve a purpose, whether it's describing your process, inspirations, or artistic vision.
- Please provide at least 4 images and no more than 6 total except if you need an additional image when you are offering a course or studio event. For example: one of the images should be of you in your studio, one should be a highquality image for the printed catalog, one for your artist profile you want featured on the website directory, and three for your media gallery in your web profile. You can also use the same image for the profile and/or the catalog as you wish. If you are planning on doing a studio event/course during the Tour, you will be asked to add an image for that on the application.
- Your entry for the Community Gallery Exhibit will be done separately and a form sent to you the beginning of May 2026.
- When you have finished your registration and paid the fee make sure you return to your application and then click on the submit button.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A range of visual arts media are welcome. We know that many artists work in various areas. For this reason, we ask you to please pick one main category from the choices listed below. We will also ask you to specify the medium used in that category and style. You will have the option as well to list other work that you do in your artist statement.
We suggest you review the detailed info listed above again and look through the application questions before completing your registration. There is a lot to take in! Also, best to prepare all of your images first beforehand since they will need to be labeled a certain way as listed.
There is also a detailed PDF of the 2026 Artist Guidelines + Requirements for you to download + print on our website registration page.
