  • Thank you for your interest in participating as a food truck vendor at the 43rd Annual Village Venture Arts & Crafts Festival! Below are important application details, required documents, and guidelines to ensure a smooth process.

     

    To better prepare for this application you will need digital files/pictures of the following:

    • Business Tax Certificate
    • Valid LA County Health Department Permit
    • Pictures of your food truck (preferrable of the front, back & the sides)
    • City of Claremont Mobile Food Vendor Permit Application

    • Insurance ($1 million general liability, $1 million automobile liability, must list "Claremont Chamber of Commerce, 205 Yale Ave., Claremont, CA 91711" as Additionally Insured &/or Certificate Holder, covering through 10/25/25)
  • Food Truck Information

    PLEASE NOTE: FOOD TRUCK/VEHICLE MUST BE SELF CONTAINED & HAVE ITS OWN GENERATOR
    • Food trucks will be placed in a row in order of arrival, entering from First & Indian Hill or First & College depending on the directions you will receive in the mail.
    • Food trucks MUST have their parking pass to enter the event. (One will be emailed to you.)
    • Enter festival grounds from 5AM-7AM only to allow for street closures at 8AM.
    • You will be responsible for positioning your food truck at the location assigned to you. Once positioned, your food truck must remain at its location untill the end of the event (at 5PM).
    • Food trucks cannot be left unattended.
      • In the case that your food truck has run out of supplies, you can send someone from your team to a nearby store (in a separate vehicle located outside of the event). Stores nearby:

    • Sales of alcohol are not allowed.
    • Participants must comply with the Fire Department and LA County Health Department rules and regulations.
    • Food truck MUST be self-contained. NO trailers or open flames; MUST be equipped with an approved fire extinguisher. 
    • We do not provide electricity. Must provide your own generator.
    • We can ONLY accept food trucks with a valid LA County Health Department Permit.

  • At Village Venture, we are proud to welcome a wide variety of food and beverage food trucks that help bring the festival to life!

    To ensure accessibility, and a diverse mix of offerings, we are offering a tiered food truck pricing structure based on food category. This approach allows us to accommodate a range of food truck types while supporting a balanced and successful experience for everyone involved. 

    To ensure accessibility and variety, we offer tiered pricing based on food truck category:

     
    What This Means: 

    • Beverage/Coffee Food Trucks: $400 by 8/1 - after 8/1 $500
    • Dessert-Only Food Trucks: $550 by 8/1 - after 8/1 $650
    • Full Meal Food Trucks: $750 by 8/1 - after 8/1 $850

    Secure your spot by submitting a non-refundable $100 deposit. Space is limited, and food trucks will be selected to ensure category variety and quality. All food truck fees are due on or before October 1, 2025. 

    After submitting the application call 909-624-1681 to complete the non-refundable $100 deposit. Receipt will be emailed to you after payment.

  • Timeline & Rules

    • Weeks before event day!
      • Receive your event day instructions, color coded entry permit by email.
        • Email or call the Chamber Office to check status (909) 624-1681.
        • You are responsible for your own liability & workers compensation insurance.
        • You are responsible for providing the labor needed for all your items related to the setup & breakdown of your food truck.
        • If you need a restroom or lunch break, please coordinate & plan accordingly to not leave your food truck unattended. This is an ALL day event. 

    • Day of Event - Before 5AM
      • Arriving before 5AM does not guarantee that your unloading area will be available. 
      • Only exhibitors & authorized staff are allowed before the start of the event. 
        Customers are not allowed to roam the event or line up before the start of the event.

    • At 5AM Streets are officially CLOSED.
      • Our exhibitors & food trucks will be allowed to enter the event footprint to unload their vehicle & must enter through their assigned colored entrance (indicated in their event packet - that will be mailed out starting 10/1).
         
    • At 7:40AM Street are officially CLOSED to the public. FOOD TRUCKS CANNOT ENTER OR EXIT, MUST REMAIN IN ASSIGNED LOCATION.

    • At 9AM Village Venture festival is open to the public.

    • 9AM-5PM Village Venture Fun!

    • At 5PM Village Venture ends & food trucks will wait for a Chamber representative to tell you when and where to exit

    • At 7PM Exhibitors, food trucks & must leave event grounds, as streets will be reopened to the public & traffic.

    Reminder: 

    All exhibitors must have a 1-A-10-BC fire extinguisher. Required by LA County Fire Department.

    Speed limit within the event layout is 5MPH.

      111S S College Ave
    • Pomona College Parking Structure
      301-399 E 4th St
    • Packing House Parking Structure
      460 W 1st St
    • Bank of America
      339 N Yale Ave
    • Walter's Restaurant
      310 N Yale Ave
    • Any public street & lots (outside of the event footprint)

     

    On the day of the event, if you have questions or need assistance their will be Village Venture volunteers to assist you. Volunteers are not allowed to assist you with your food truck, please plan accordingly.

    I, the undersigned, in consideration of my business or organization's participation in this activity, & intending to be legally bound for its members, their heirs, executors & administrators, do hereby release & discharge Claremont Chamber of Commerce, the City of Claremont & their respective officers, directors, employees, volunteers, partners & contractors, jointly & severally, from any & all liability from personal injury, accident, illness, death, property damage or other occurrence which members of the organization may suffer in any manner whatsoever arising out or resulting from our participation in the above mentioned event/program(s), & I expressly assume ALL risks of our participation in this activity, including without limitation, injury as a result of the acts of omission of the above parties or some defect in or on their property of any of them, whether caused by misconduct on the part of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce, the City of Claremont, or its employees, & I agree to indemnify, save, hold harmless & defend each & everyone of the above parties of & from any & all loss, damages, expenses, costs, & attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from my business or organization's participation in this activity.
