Calling all high school volunteers interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the local history of Fremont! Volunteering opportunities will open at the California Nursery Historical Park, located on 36501 Niles Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536.

Volunteers will be able to choose from an array of engaging tasks, including caring for our gardens, assisting in the museum, and providing informational sessions for museum guests. While contributing their time, students will simultaneously learn about the historical, agricultural, and economic significance of the California Nursery, once considered the second largest nursery in the country. This opportunity will allow students to expand their knowledge of the critical history of not only Fremont, but the entire Bay Area, highlighting the dynamic timeline of this unique landmark.

Volunteering will be available the following dates in 2025, from 1PM to 3PM: June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, July 18, August 1, and August 8.

We will meet at the California Nursery Office Museum, located across from the rose garden.
