    Jacob’s Mission Community Center holds a 3 hour workshop to provide guidance and tools to help teens and young adults transition to responsible, independent adulthood. 

    Topics covered include cooking skills and eating on a budget, obtaining vital health & medical records, obtaining a driver’s license or state ID, obtaining health insurance, college or post-secondary education plan, career development, resume writing, mock interviews, getting a job, paying or planning for taxes when employed, renting a room or apartment, buying a car, financial literacy, building and maintaining a personal budget, opening a bank account, relationship management, family planning, volunteering and giving back to your community, mental health and well-being, physical health and hygiene!

    💡 October Workshop topic: College and Tradeschool Fair

     

    ✨ Who can attend: This event is FREE for residents of Arizona who are or were in foster care and their siblings, who receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits, or low-income Arizona residents. We serve at-risk youth aged 13-19.

    🌟 BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Join us in making their birthdays truly memorable! If you have a youth in foster care with birthdays in the current month of the family social, ASA Now has a heartwarming surprise in store. We'll be celebrating their special day with a birthday presents at our event. These incredible kids will receive carefully selected gifts and a personalized cake to make their birthday truly unforgettable. 🎁 Link to Form

    🎓 GRADUALTION CELEBRATION: We celebrate high school graduates with a custom cake and gifts to mark their achievements.

    🚨 Registration Deadline: If the form is open, registration is still open. Deadline is Wednesday @ 4 pm, two days prior to event. Birthday and graduation requests require a minimum of ten days notice.

    11:45 am - Birthday Celebration - Youth in foster care that registered to recive birthday items from ASA will be brought up to be sung to

    12 pm – Cooking on a Budget

    12:30 pm - Let the Fun Begin! Prizes and Meal

    1:00 pm to 1:15 pm - Clean up
