Angel Vanterpool Scholarship Application 2026 Application Deadline: April 30,2026, at 11:59 pm
Purpose

To provide a one-time, non-renewable educational scholarship award for 2026 high school graduates within the family of the Church of God of Prophecy within the state of Texas. The [AVSF] is established to support the educational aspirations of young individuals in our congregation who exhibit faith, service, and academic potential. This scholarship aims to invest in the future of our youth by enabling them to achieve their educational goals while remaining rooted in Christian values. The amount of the award is $1000 ($500.00 per semester for the first year).
Requirements

Applicant must submit:

·      Official high school transcript or GED Certification,

·      A headshot photograph

·      Personal essay (1000 words) responding to the prompt: “Describe how your faith and involvement in the church have influenced your educational and career goals.

o   Faith and Commitment: Applicants should demonstrate how their faith guides their daily life and future aspirations. (should be included in the essay)

Three letters of recommendation:

o Pastor

o   Academic

o   Community Service

Community Service: A history of participation in community service or leadership roles within the church will be a key consideration.

An application packet (see checklist) MUST be submitted on or before the application deadline, Thursday, April 30, 2026, no later than 11:59 p.m.
