Scholarship Application Form
The BCE Booster Club Scholarship award(s) are based on current family financial needs. Applying to this scholarship is NOT a guarantee to the award. The scholarship winner(s) will still be required to go through the normal audition process for acceptance in one of the BAMtheatre Conservatory programs for the 2026-27 season. Like any other accepted Conservatory student, the scholarship recipient(s) must adhere and follow the BAMtheatre conservatory signed contract.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PAPERWORK: July 15, 2026. SCHOLARSHIP WINNER(S) WILL BE NOTIFIED BY July 31, 2026.

Eligibility

Anyone planning to audition for the BAMtheatre Conservatory programs that are entering 2nd through 12th grade during the 2026-27 school year. The applicant (household) must be able to show one of the following:
- Household is currently experiencing unforeseen financial hardship.
- Household is currently receiving Federal or State assistance programs (i.e. SNAP, Free/Reduced Lunch, TANF, Income-Eligible Medicaid, Homeless/Refuge).
- Combined household annual income is at or below 375% Federal Poverty Line. Refer to FPL Guidelines for details.
If you meet eligibility requirements and would like to apply for the BAMtheatre Conservatory Booster Club Scholarship, please fill out and submit the application by 11:59pm July 15, 2026. Email any questions to BoostersBCE@gmail.com.

Essay Questions

We would love to get responses from the guardian AND actual students applying for BCE program. However, we understand that with the younger students, the quality of the responses will not be on same level as a high school student.
Example of how to write response

What goals do you hope to achieve through the conservatory program? Explain how this program could impact your future education and/or career goals.
What do you enjoy most about performing or training in musical theatre? Why are the arts so important to you? What does being part of a musical theatre community mean to you?
What activities (in and out of school) are you involved with?
If you are awarded a scholarship, some program‑related expenses (such as travel, costumes, or additional fees) may still apply. Would you be able to cover these costs? This information helps us identify families who may need additional support.
Please share any additional information you believe would be helpful for the committee to consider in reviewing your application.

We ask that you provide a recommendation from someone who can speak to your character, work ethic and possibly financial situation. This individual should not be a family member or a BAMtheatre staff member.

Financial Information

All of your information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. The applicant’s name and all other identifying information will be removed from the application. The application will also be assigned an ID number prior to submitting to the Scholarship Review Panel for blind review.

I understand the BCE Booster Club Scholarship(s) are based on current family financial needs. Applying to this scholarship is NOT a guarantee to the award. The scholarship winner(s) will still be required to go through the normal audition process for acceptance in one of the BAMtheatre Conservatory programs for the 2026-27 season. All scholarship amounts and awards are made based on availability of funds in the BAMtheatre Conservatory Booster Club budget and may be modified or terminated at any time by the Booster Club.

Once a scholarship has been offered, it cannot be transferred to a different applicant and the scholarship funds will be paid directly to BAMtheatre for the Conservatory program only. Like any other accepted Conservatory student, the scholarship recipient(s) must adhere and follow the BAMtheatre conservatory signed contract.
