  • By submitting this application, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. If your application is successful, this form will form the basis of your adoption contract with Out of the Woods Rescue Melbourne Ltd (OOTW).

    Lifelong commitment
    I understand that adopting a cat is a long-term commitment, and I agree to provide a safe, loving and stable home for the lifetime of the cat.

    Refunds and returns
    I understand that:

    • If I return the cat within 7 days, I will be eligible for a 75% refund of the adoption fee.
    • No refunds will be issued for returns made after 7 days.
    • Refunds will only be processed once the cat is safely returned to OOTW and may take up to 10 business days to be issued.
    • Refunds are reduced to account for administrative costs incurred.

    Returning the cat

    If I can no longer care for the adopted cat at any time in the future, I agree to contact OOTW immediately. I understand that the cat must be returned to OOTW.

    • I will not attempt to rehome, sell, give away, surrender to a pound or shelter or otherwise transfer ownership of the cat without the express written consent of OOTW.
    • OOTW will work with me to arrange the return of the cat.
    • I am responsible for the safe return of the cat and agree to return the animal in good health (unless health issues are a factor in the surrender).


    Health and behaviour
    I understand that all OOTW's rescue animals are adopted in good faith, and while every effort is made to ensure the cat is healthy and behaviourally suitable, no guarantee can be made regarding future medical or behavioural issues.

    Adoption is not guaranteed
    I understand that submitting this application does not guarantee that I will be approved to adopt the cat. OOTW reserves the right to refuse any application at its discretion.


    Accuracy of information
    I confirm that all information provided in this application is true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that providing false or misleading information may result in my application being declined or the adoption being voided.
