  • Please note that Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital only supports humane, science-based behavior modification methods. Utilization of aversive training methods (prong collars, electronic collars, punishment) is discouraged as part of a comprehensive behavior modification plan.  

    If you are not actively working with a trainer, establishing with a trainer is required before scheduling a behavior focused exam. See our list of recommended trainers HERE.

  • Thank you for your interest in our services! We will be in touch as soon as we have received all the requested information. If you have not heard from us in 7 days, please feel free to reach out via email (hello@brooklynyardvet.com) as it can sometimes take some time to coordinate these appointments. 

    • Please note that we typically schedule out 6-8 weeks for behavior-focused consultation
    • Once you are scheduled, you will be asked to fill out a more in-depth behavior questionnaire and complete all new client forms. We will send this information once your appointment has been scheduled. 
    • Fee Schedule for Behavior Support
      • For NEW clients to our clinic, you will be asked to prepay for the appointment ($350) at the time of booking.
      • If you are an existing client who has already established at our clinic for veterinary care, the cost of a 1-hour in-clinic consultation is $225.
        • In certain cases, if you are actively working with a veterinarian in our clinic and a recent physical exam has been performed, a 30-minute phone (virtual) consult may be deemed appropriate for counseling purposes ($150). This is determined by the veterinarian.
      • Follow-up phone consultations (if needed) after 3 months from the initial consultation ($85)
