EDF POWER SOLUTIONS IS LAUNCHING A REQUEST FOR INTEREST ON A GLOBAL COMMERCIALIZATION APPROACH OF E-MOLECULES TOWARDS INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES AND OFF-TAKERS INTERNATIONALLY.

EDF power solutions (ex "EDF Renewables") aims to develop a one-stop-shop to simplify and to de-risk supply of low carbon H2/NH3 notably, leaning on its global production.

EDF power solutions has thus issued on May 15 a request for interest to industrial companies and off-takers with the purpose of commercializing pooled volumes of e-molecules from its future production sites globally.

As a leader of decarbonized electricity production, EDF power solutions is co-developing a portfolio of e-molecule projects - notably export large-scale projects in Oman, Canada, Chile and Egypt - and expects to ramp-up produced molecules volumes in early 2030. Therefore, through this RFI, EDF power solutions goal is to deep-dive the customers’ needs and test a tailor-made portfolio approach to accompany their decarbonization path thanks to our expertise in low-carbon hydrogen & derivatives production. Such approach is backed by EDF power solutions’ unique extensive decarbonized electricity production assets and mix (30 GW in operation and construction) along with internal experts along the whole value chain. (10000 employees as well as EDF Group overall experts trading, LNG, engineering and operation, R&D etc.)

This RFI will also help our teams to better address the future needs of the market and to determine how hydrogen and its derivates will be used to reach carbon neutrality in critical fields like heavy industries, maritime and air transport. With the enhancement of national and regional support, the market is globally getting more structured and EDF power solutions aims to adress its clients’ needs with dedicated approaches.
