  • DOGE SAYS DISPOSE, USAID SAYS DONATE

As we all know, DOGE has determined that it's too difficult to properly collect and dispose of USAID Personnel's government furnished equipment (GFE)—but we also know that USAID is much more resourceful and capable than DOGE!

We are a group of USAID employees who have decided to organize an effort to maintain the USAID spirit of generosity and good stewardship of taxpayer funds by collectively donating our GFE to those who need it.

We will be providing donated GFE to World Computer Exchange and WildTech, non-profits dedicated to providing underserved communities worldwide with access to technology. A small number will also be provided to the Movement Infrastructure Project, a local DC organization whose mission is to provide organizers and activists the tools and resources they need to take bold action to create transformative change.

Donations of GFE to these organizations can be made at drop off sites or events that will be established in the DC area or by mail using pre-paid shipping labels. Collections will continue through October, 2025 to accommodate varying separation dates.

To help our partner organizations plan and prepare to maximize the impact of these donations, we are trying to estimate the quantities of GFE that they may receive. To that end, we are requesting that all USAID personnel who feel comfortable doing so fill in this survey by Monday, June 30th. The survey is encrypted and anonymous.

Let's work together to clean up DOGE waste!

  • Are you interested in volunteering to support this effort?

If yes, please fill in this volunteer sign up form (but please don't forget to finish and submit this form too!)

  • Thank you for participating in this survey! We will share the results with our partner organizations and continue to share updates and further details about the donation drive with our USAID community.
