*Release of Liability: By signing up your child for Embark Education classes, you release and covenant not to sue insurers, teachers, volunteers, and employees of Embark Education and St. Francis of Assisi Church (where Friday classes are held) as a result of any and all liablities, claims, demands, causes of action or losses that may hereafter have for injury or damages arising out of use of, or participation in the program. It is the express intent of the parties that the release provided herein be a general, full, and comprehensive release, to the fullest extent permitted by law, as to each and all of the releases.
* Photo/Media Release: Embark Education uses photographs and videos of students in printed and online media; including the school's website, brochures, and official Embark Education social media outlets. This media release requests your consent to use your student's image or work in school publications and for the archival purposes outlined above. Students whose families do not consent will be placed on a "media consent denied" list. This agreement covers those official Embark Education publications that are intended for the general public.
*Medical Emergency: Please make sure your emergency information is up to date. In case of an emergency, we will contact 911 and contacts listed above. Please inform us at anytime of any new medical or contact information changes.
*Late Pick up: Please be sure to arrive promptly at pick up. If you know you will be arriving late, please inform another parent to watch your child for you until you arrive and also inform Jyl Fearn or Korene Graham.
*Behavior Policy: Students are expected to uphold our rules and treat teachers, assistants, and each other with respect. If rules are broken parents will be contacted. If the student continues to show disrespect after parents are contacted, we reserve the right to remove the student from our program.
*Payment Policy: Registering for classes indicates that you are committing financially to the classes. Payments can be made through your charter school or by you. Personal payments are due in full before each trimester begins.
*No Make-up/transfer classes: We cannot transfer classes or offer make-up classes if absent. The classes are offered one time and are non transferrable.
*Drop Policy: Please know that dropping classes has an effect on our community. If you have questions or concerns about a class, please contact the teacher prior to signing up to make sure the class is right for your student. NO drops are allowed after the friday of the 2nd week of classes. You will be charged with entire cost of the class.
*No cell phone use during class time (*exception:students may request to make a call to a parent as needed)
*Embark holds the right to refuse and end services if any of these policies are not upheld.
