    Invasive Plant Removal Training in Leesburg

    WHAT:

    Come on out and socialize with your fellow residents, get some exercise, and make a difference in Loudoun County, at the fourth invasive plant removal training event led by experts from Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. We will be working alongside Big Spring creek, the only naturally restocking trout stream in Northern Virginia.

    WHEN:

    Saturday, May 10: 10AM - 1PM, Big Springs HOA

    During the event, participants will remove invasive plants including Multi Flora Rose, Garlic Mustard and Japanese Honeysuckle. 

    **This event is not suitable for children under the age of 18 because we will be using herbicides.

    WHERE:

    Big Springs HOA: Twin Maple Lane, Leesburg (Meet at Community Barn, which is ¼ mile down Twin Maple Lane from White’s Ferry Road)
    WHAT TO BRING:

    Hand pruners, loppers, pruning saws if you have them. Not required.
    If you plan to participate, you must wear a hat, safety glasses, long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and gloves (gloves and glasses provided).

    Dress for the weather.
    NOTE: Participants will be working with herbicides. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses and nitrile gloves) will be provided.
