  • International Principal Visit Requests – Guidelines

    This form is for Domaine Wine Shippers (DWS) staff to submit requests on behalf of customers wishing to visit our overseas wineries.

    Eligibility & Purpose

    • Only applicants with a direct connection to DWS are eligible.
    • Visits must offer clear professional value to both DWS and the winery (Principal).
    • Customers of customers are not eligible.
    • Applicants should not contact Head Office directly—they must go through their Business Development Manager (BDM).

    Submission & Approval

    For estates like Bouchard Père et Fils and Billecart-Salmon, a purchase history must be included in the comments section.

    Submission & Approval

    • The form must be fully completed by the BDM.
    • Approval is required from the Imported Wines Manager or National Sales Manager.
    • Incomplete forms will not be processed.
    • Once submitted, the form will automatically email to Kalli
    • All information is confidential and for internal use only.

    Visit Timing

    • Visits cannot be scheduled during:
      - Weekends or public holidays
      - Summer breaks
      - Harvest or bottling periods (as specified by each winery)
      - Applicants must be informed of these restrictions in advance.

    Notice Period & Scheduling

    • A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required; 6 weeks is preferred during peak times.
    • Requests more than 3 months in advance are generally not accepted.
    • Customers must:
      - Propose their own available dates
      - Disclose any prior appointments with other producers to avoid conflicts
      - Be discouraged from submitting disorganised or vague requests

    Confirmation Process

    • Once approved, Kalli will send the final itinerary and visit guidelines to the customer, with the BDM in cc.
    • A visit is not confirmed until the itinerary is received from DWS.
