FAQ
What days do you work?
I work Tuesday-Saturday! I don't often have Saturdays available though, as they're high in demand.
Where are you located?
From June, I'll be guesting with Sam Dunbar and Jake Axl at their studio Wild Horses in Fremantle.
How does your pricing work?
As I'm quite a speedy tattoo artist, I charge $220 an hour, I have a minimum charge of $200, and a full day rate of $1100. I tend to over quote pieces a bit so that we can make changes to the design on the day if needed. Changes may include increasing size, adding extra details, or accounting for difficult skin that may take longer. Usually with me, the final price ends up being less than the maximum quote. I offer free initial touchups within 1 year of the original tattoo's completion.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I require a minimum of $100 as a deposit. This deposit secures your appointment slot, and comes off the total price on the day. Your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel or reschedule within 72 hours of the appointment date, or reschedule/ cancel indefinitely. The deposit will also be forfeited if the original design concept is changed completely. In this case, the deposit acts as a drawing fee to make up for time spent on the original design concept.
Can I see the design in advance?
All custom tattoo designs are shown exclusively on the day of the appointment. If there are any minor changes to be made, I can do this on the day with you. Requesting changes to your tattoo is a normal part of the process, and shouldn't be stressful for you! My main goal is to make a tattoo that you love, so don't be shy asking for modifications!
What is the best way to contact you?
The fastest way to get a hold of me would be my Instagram (@Leshtattoo), or through my booking form! I try my best to answer messages within a day of receiving them, but sometimes life gets in the way and it takes me a couple more days to get back to you! I really appreciate your patience with replies (and so grateful for your inquiry!). If you haven't received a reply from me after a few days, make sure to check your spam!
Do you do fine line or tiny tattoos?
Yes! I don't post too many of my fine line or smaller pieces but I absolutely love to switch it up from my regular style! I can fit small fine line pieces in on most days, too.
Are your flash designs repeatable?
I don't tattoo any of my flash pieces more than once. I love the idea of every one of my clients having their own unique-to-them piece. However, I am always happy to do variations of flash designs if the original piece has already been taken! This means that I will redraw the flash design so it has similar characteristics and vibes, but enough changes to turn it into its very own unique piece!
How do I book with you?
I take bookings through Instagram DMs, my Facebook page, or through my booking form found in my Instagram bio. If you're unsure of what details I'll need, I'd recommend inquiring through my booking form, which will ask you everything I need to know!
How can I prepare for my appointment?
Get a gooood sleep the night before, stay hydrated, and have a substantial meal shortly before your appointment. Lightly exfoliating and shaving the area can also help me out! If you don't feel confident shaving the area yourself, that's totally fine, I'm more than happy to do it for ya!
Can I use numbing cream?
I'm totally fine with numbing cream, as long as you are aware of the risks involved. It happens very rarely, but on occasion, numbing cream can cause the ink to reject and heal faded and dull. If this happens, I do not offer free touch-ups to redo it.
How do I care for my fresh tattoo?
About 1-2 hours after I wrap your new tattoo in glad wrap, you can remove it and give the tattoo a gentle wash with a mild, unscented soap and warm water. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel, and let it air out for 20-30 minutes before applying a thin layer of cream (my favourite is Dr Pickles, found at Woolworths or a pharmacy). For the next 6-10 days, continue applying a thin layer of cream twice per day. Do not pick or scratch the tattoo, keep it out of the sun, and keep it clean!! Do not soak or submerge the tattoo for at least 2 weeks. This includes baths, pools, or the ocean.
