    Summer 2025 Sales Event
  • Just Between Friends Charleston North is staffed by local parents and grandparents (and aunts, uncles, caregivers, and friends) just like YOU! 

    If you want to maximize your earnings and shop BEFORE we open to the public, OR If you are interested in a part time job, without any long-term commitment, we invite you to join our JBF Charleston North Team!

    There are THREE ways to help:

    1. Consignor Team Member

    • Registered consignors that choose to contribute  directly to the sale of their items.
    • Task included things like inspection, organizing, sorting and breakdown.
    • Shifts are 6 or 8 hours each
    • Earn an additional 10% on all your sold items + shop the EARLY. 

    2. Community Team Member

    • Members of the community that choose to give a helping hand and contribute their time to help out at the sales event.
    • Task include things like inspection, organizing, sorting and breakdown.
    • Shifts are 6 or 8 hours
    • Earn a Shopping Spree on US (see earning amounts below) + shop EARLY.  

         ** Earn $50 JBFBucks per 6 hour shift or earn $70 JBFBucks per 8 hour shift.

    3. Retail Sales Specialists (RSS)- Cashier

    • RSS positions are paid hourly and represent a perfect part-time, flexible  employment opportunity.
    • Shifts are 4 hours each (Can work multiple shifts)
    • Pay is $12 per hour
    • Earn a paycheck, Shop EARLY, make friends, and help make this community event MAGICAL!

    𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩f𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:

         June 11, 2025 - June 16, 2025

    𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 ("𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫"):
         To be completed below upon acknowledgement


    IN CONSIDERATION of the promises and mutual covenants and agreements contained herein, Organizer and Team Member agree as follows:

    𝟏.  Consignor Team Member is a Consignor

    1. Team Member expressly represents that s/he is a consignor at the Just Between Friends Consignment Sales Event, and is serving as a Team Member for the purpose of aiding in the sale of his/her own goods.

    2. Community Team Member is not a Consignor                                       

    1. Community Team Member expressly represent that s/he is a local member of the communtiy and is not a consignor at the Just Between Friends Consignment Sales Event, and is serving as a Team Member for the purpose of aiding in the sale of other community members goods. 

    3. Team Member is a Consignor Team Member or a Community Team Member at the Just Between Friends Consignment Sales Event. 

    4.  Team Member Status:

    1. The Team Member expressly represents and warrants to the Organizer that:  
      1. S/He is not and shall not be construed to be an employee of the Organizer and that his/her status shall be that of an Independent Contractor for which s/he is solely responsible for his/her actions and in actions 
      2. The Team Member shall act solely as an Independent Contract Team Member, not as an employee or agent of the Organizer;
      3. The Team Member is not authorized to enter into contracts or agreements on behalf of the Organizer or to otherwise create obligations of the Organizer to third parties.
      4. The Team Member understands and agrees that s/he is not entitled to, and shall not be covered by, any of the benefits or benefit plans provided by the Organizer to its employees (if any).

    5.  Work to Be Performed:

    1. The Team Member understands and agrees that s/he is an Independent Contract Team Member, who is assisting at the Just Between Friends Charleston North Consignment Sales Event for the purpose of; aiding in the sale of his/her own consigned goods or aiding in the sale of other commuinty member's goods.
    2. Team Member understands that the Just Between Friends Charleston North Consignment Sales Event is a temporary event, and Organizer is not offering a permanent work opportunity to Team Member.
    3. Organizer may assist Team Member by providing examples but does not direct, supervise, or control the Team Member with respect to the means, manner, or method of performance of the services Team Member has elected to undertake.  
    4. The Team Member further acknowledges that s/he has the right to choose the shifts in which s/he will assist at the Consignment Sales Event and has the right to choose what tasks s/he will undertake.  
    5. Team Member understands that s/he is under no obligation to work any particular hours or undertake any particular tasks, but Team Member agrees to fulfill the obligations s/he voluntarily elects.  
    6. If at any time Team Member determines that s/he is uncomfortable performing a task s/he has elected, Team Member understands that s/he may choose an alternate task.  
    7. If Team Member is unable to meet shifts which s/he has previously elected, Team Member understands that s/he may contact Organizer for other opportunities to fulfill the commitment.  
    8. Team Member understands that s/he has the right to send a substitute or bring helpers to fulfill Team Member’s voluntarily elected shift.  
    9. While Organizer recommends that Team Member choose comfortable shoes and clothing, Team member understands that s/he may choose the attire worn for the elected shift(s). 
    10. Team member will voluntarily elect to choose the date, time and descriptions of shifts that work in his/her schedule and that will be conveyed through the scheduling system.
    11. Team Member agrees that s/he will at all times perform his/her elected services in a professional and courteous manner.  
    12. The Team Member shall observe and abide by all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and rules, including all discrimination laws, and shall treat all fellow Team Members and shoppers with respect.
    13. Team member will help in an ethical manner, and agree that he/she is not attempting to learn the business practices of JBF, operations techniques or any other business matters that may or may not be trademarked, registered or proprietary in any way.  

    6.  Team Member Benefits:

    1. A Team Member that is a Consignor Team Member will receive the following benefits for fulfilling the Team Member services voluntarily selected above:
      1. Percentage on Consigned Goods:
        1. 70% for a traditional consignor
      2. Presale Shopping Pass:
        1. Team Member entry time
      3. 50% off Presale Pass:
        1. Team Member entry time
    2. A Team Member that is a Community Team Member will receive the following benefits for fulfilling the Team Member services voluntarily selected above:
      1. Amount of JBFBucks Shopping Credits 
        1. 50 JBFBucks per six hour shift
          1. Every 1 JBFBuck is equal to $1 USD
        2. 70 JBFBucks per eight hour shift
          1. Every 1 JBFBuck is equal to $1 USD
      2. Presale Shopping Pass:
        1. Team Member entry time
      3. 50% off Presale Shopping Pass:
        1. Team Member entry time
    3. Team Member acknowledges and agrees that the benefits listed above, together with the opportunity to make the Consignment Sales Event successful thereby increasing the likelihood of selling Team Member’s own goods, are full and adequate compensation for the services Team Member has voluntarily elected to perform, and Team Member is not entitled to any additional compensation.  

    7.  Taxes, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment:

    1. It is expressly understood and agreed that Organizer will not be responsible for, withhold, deduct or pay any federal, state, local income tax, or payroll tax of any kind, on behalf of the Team Member.  
    2. The Team Member shall not be treated as an employee with respect to the services performed hereunder for federal, state, or local tax purposes.  
    3. The Team Member agrees to be responsible for any taxes and should consult his/her tax advisor regarding tax liability for benefits received in connection with Team Member Services.  
    4. Because the Team Member is not an employee of the Organizer, no workers’ compensation insurance shall be obtained by the Organizer covering the Team Member, and the Organizer shall not be responsible for unemployment insurance payments.

    8.  Photographic Release:

    1. Team Member hereby grants and conveys unto the Organizer all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by the Organizer during the Team Member’s participation in any activities under this Agreement, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.

    9.  Release and Indmnification:

    1. The Team Member agrees to indemnify and hold the Organizer (and its affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders,  employees, agents, franchisor, including without limitations Just Between Friends Franchise System, Inc. harmless against all losses, claims, judgments, suits or demands for recovery arising out of any alleged personal injury, damage or loss related to the performance of his/her elected services under this Agreement.

    10.  Covid-19 Safety: 

    1. The Team Member acknowledges the contagious nature of COVID-19 and acknowledge there is an unknown risk of exposure to COVID-19 through exposure to contaminated objects, as well as through personal contact.  
    2. I voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed or infected by COVID-19 by participating in a Just Between Friends Consignment Sale and that such exposure may result in illness, injury, disability, or death.  
    3. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including but not limited to Just Between Friends, and Team Members, consignors, and customers of Just Between Friends.  
    4. I voluntarily assume all the forgoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind.  
    5. I acknowledge that I have a responsibility not to attend or participate as a Team Member at any Just Between Friends Consignment Sale if I am sick or running a fever or if I or a member of my household have been positively diagnosed with COVID-19.
    6. I agree to comply with all COVID-19 safety measures established by Organizer, including but not limited to social distancing and certify that I am abiding by state/local laws regarding COVID-19 restrictions.  
    7. I hereby release and hold harmless Organizer, its employees, officers and vendors from and against all claims of damages and liability resulting from exposure to COVID-19.

    11.  Choice of Law and Severability:

    The terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be interpreted, determined, and enforced by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

    Should any term, condition, covenant or obligation of this Agreement be held unenforceable, moot or invalid, the remaining terms and conditions shall not be affected thereby and shall be deemed valid and enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by law.

  • Retail Sale Specialist (RSS) Cashier Shifts

    You will be responsible for scanning and bagging all purchased items. Assist customers with check-out of items. Take payment and provide excellent customer  service. This job requires standing for most of the shift and requires some light  lifting of items up to 20 pounds. This position is ideal for someone who is good with numbers and familiar with retail cash registers. Pay is $12/hr.

    *** A Brief interview and completion of training videos required.

    1. At Will / Temporary Employment

    1. Team Member acknowledges that the Consignment Pop-Up Sale is a temporary/seasonal sale, and Organizer is not offering a permanent, long-term, or continuing work opportunity to Team Member.
    2. The Team Member understands and agrees that s/he is not entitled to, and shall not be covered by, any of the benefits or benefit plans provided by the Organizer to its permanent employees (if any). 
    3. Team Member is being hired on a temporary basis solely to fulfill the shifts/work set forth herein.
    4. The Team Member is not an officer or manager of Organizer, and the Team Member is not authorized to enter into contracts or agreements on behalf of the Organizer or to otherwise create obligations of the Organizer to third parties. 

    2. Eligibility to Work

    1. Team Member represents and warrants to Organizer that s/he is lawfully in United States with permission to work.
    2. Team Member has completed a form W-4 and provided documentation establishing both identity and eligibility to work (either 1 Document from List A; OR 2 Documents: 1 from List B AND 1 from list C):
      1. List A: Documents Establishing both Identity and Eligibility (Circle Document provided and attach copy of document)
        • U.S. Passport (unexpired or expired)
        • Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
        • An unexpired foreign passport with a temporary I-551 stamp
        • An unexpired Employment Authorization Document that contains a photograph (Form I-766, I-688, I-688A, I-688B)
        • An unexpired foreign passport with an unexpired Arrival-Departure Record, Form I94, bearing the same name as the passport and containing an endorsement of the alien’s nonimmigrant status, if that status authorizes the alien to work for the employer.

      2. List B – Establishes Identity

    3. Work to Be Performed:

    1. The Team Member agrees to fulfill the above identified shifts and to follow all the direction of Organizer’s designated supervisor or Team Leader.
    2. Team Member understands that Organizer may modify the shifts or discharge Team Member at any time.
    3. Team Member agrees that s/he will at all times perform his/her services in a professional and courteous manner.
    4. The Team Member shall observe and abide by all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and rules, including all discrimination laws, and shall treat all fellow Team Members and shoppers with respect.  

    4. Compensation:

    1. Team Member will be paid the following hourly rate:  $12.00_/hr
    2. Team Member acknowledges and agrees that the compensation identified is full and adequate compensation for the services Team Member has voluntarily elected to perform, and Team Member is not entitled to any additional compensation.  

    5. Taxes and Withholdings:

    1. Team Member acknowledges that withholdings may be made from Team Member’s pay for applicable federal, state, and local taxes and statutory required withholdings.


    6. Photographic Release

    1. Team Member hereby consents to the use by Organizer of his/her likeness taken during the Event and grants and conveys unto the Organizer all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by the Organizer during the Team Member’s participation in any activities under this Agreement, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
