    Please be aware that payment for completion of degree is required upon submission of this declaration.  The graduation fee covers the costs associated to the preparation, printing, and mailing of your diploma. The fee is non-waivable and non-refundable and required of all students completing a degree or certificate.

    ***Please note that Certificates are not an eligible program for Commencement Participation due to not being a credential degree.

    This submission is for  Fall 2025 ONLY

    You also must be a current registered student for the semeter you are graduating.

    1. Students cannot graduate with an Advanced degree unless they are a registered active student and;
    2. who has also completed a Bachelor Degree at least one semester prior to completing their Advanced degree.

    Intent Submission Deadlines are:

    • For Summer completion: (Due 3rd Friday in May)
    • For Fall completion:
    • (Due 3rd Friday in July)
    • For Spring completion: (Due 3rd Friday in November)

  • Please attach a pdf copy of your approved committee SIGNED "Course Plan of Study".  Providing this certifies that your courses being applied support your completion candidacy AND that you are on the path to fulfill the course requirements for graduation and fulfills the requirements the requirements for the Degree you are declaring.

    Providing this form confirms that your Academic advisor approves on behalf of your committee for Degree Completion (the form must have your Advisors Signature on it): 

    Master students must provide their signed and completed Course Program of Study form; (speak with the graduate office at graduate@nmt.edu, to receive this form).

    PhD students must provide their dissertation information. (speak with the graduate office at graduate@nmt.edu, to receive this form).

  • The following questions must be completed.  Please understand that if you indicate "no" on any of the following questions you will not be able to participate in Commencement as the Ceremony is streamed live, and voids any confidentiality.

  • Intent to Walk and Graduation Payment submission

    • This portion is your notification of Participation to walk in the Commencment Ceremony and once submitted, alternations cannot be performed.
    • Please note that paying the graduation fee is not a submission to participte in the Commencement ceremony and the participation information must be completed.
    • Commencement participation is no cost to the student, and the graduation fee is a required non-refundable fee that applies to all students, whether they choose to walk or not.
    • Submission of this Petition does not gurantee completion, nor does it guarantee Commencement Participation. Student must meet eligbility and will be confirmed by the Registrars office with confirmation being sent.
    • Students have to walk in the year they graduate or up to 1 year post graduation. ex. student graduates in January 2025: they can walk in May 2025 or 2026.

  • Diploma Mailing Address

  • Diplomas are mailed to the addresss provided here shortly after completion of requirements.  Our office does not have access to addresses listed in the campus post office. To ensure your diploma is mailed to the correct address, you must update the information here.  We are not liable for instances beyond control such as any mailed and lost diplomas, or diplomas being sent to the wrong address.

    •  Diploma replacements for instances beyond control is the responsiblity of the student. 
    • Diplomas are mailed through standard non-insured USPS postage with 30 day tracking, however any student may provide a prepurchased insured postage envelope to the office of the Registrar if so they wish.  Please see the post office for this option.

    Diploma mail dates are:

    • October 15th for Summer completions,
    • February 15th for Fall completions,
    • July 15th for Spring completions.
  • If mailing to an address outside of the U.S.A., provide the address below.
