Thank you for auditioning for Summer Youth Theatre Camp at the Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach!
Rising 6th through 12th graders can audition. Any gender may audition for any part.
Two ways to audition:
1) Complete this online audition form which includes a video submission of you singing 30 seconds-1 minute of any Disney or Musical Theater song that best showcases your voice, range, and personality AND a video of your reading the highlighted selection from the script (click here for pdf). Online audition form must be submitted by Saturday, May 31 at 12pm.
2) Come to an in-person audition on Saturday May 31 at 10am, 720 E Third Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 (building left of Little Theatre). Come prepared to sing 30 seconds - 1 minute of any Disney or Musical Theater song that best showcases your voice, range, and personality. You may play a karaoke version on your phone/device or sing a capella (without music). You may also be asked to read and perform a short excerpt from the script, provided at the audition.
You may submit an online audition AND also come to in-person auditions. Only one is required for consideration.
Cast selections will be made and announced by Monday, June 2. Not all auditions can be selected for this camp. Maximum of 30 campers for this show.
If you are cast, you will receive a link to a registration form and payment. Registration fee is $250 for the week per camper. Campers will be given access to digital files for practicing songs and lines over the summer. This allows us to begin on July 28 with the campers already very familiar with the show and their part.
Camp will run 9am-4pm Monday July 28 through Friday August 1. Lunch break at 12pm every day, with water and snacks available throughout. A free performance of the show for friends and family of campers will be Saturday, August 2 at 3pm in the theater.

Characters:
- Spongebob - a fun-loving fry-cook with boundless optimism and a sense of adventure
- Patrick - Spongebob's best friend who is somewhat clueless who means well but can make a mess
- Sandy - A southern squirrel scientist and karate-enthusiast whose brilliant brain just might save the day
- Squidward - Spongebob's clarinet-playing neighbor who is a bit of a downer, but has a big dance number
- Mr. Krabs - the money-hungry owner of the Krusty Krab and Spongebob's boss
- Plankton - the Krusty Krab's competitor and nefarious antagonist for Bikini Bottom's residents
- Pearl - Mr. Krab's whale daughter who just wants to jam out with her favorite band, the Electric Skates
- Karen the Computer - Plankton's sarcastic robot wife who puts up with all of his schemes
- Additional featured roles from the ensemble include multiple Townfish, Perch Perkins (news reporter), French narrator, Patchy the Pirate, the Electric Skates, Bikini Bottom Mayor, Mrs. Puff, Old Man Jenkins, Larry the lobster, Gary the snail, and more
