  • Camp Explore: Canton Middle School Near-Peer student Leader Registration

7th or 8th grade student leaders - Register here to volunteer as a camp counselor to help incoming students start middle school in the MOST FUN WAY POSSIBLE!
  • Camp Explore: Middle School is a middle school transition and mentoring program that helps students feel excited, prepared, and less nervous about starting middle school.

7th and 8th-grade leaders, we need your help! We are looking for 15 super fun, super responsible, super confident, super cool middle schoolers from Crenshaw, STEAMM, the Arts Academy, or Early College Middle School to be assistant camp counselors for a week of camp! You will be leading games, creating a scavenger hunt inside your middle school, interviewing transitioning students, and getting rewarded with great food, cool t-shirts, and sooooo many snacks!

The goal of Camp Explore: Middle School is to empower middle schoolers to investigate and discover answers to the questions, concerns, and curiosities they have about transitioning to middle school. Students build connections and relationships with their future middle school buildings, teachers, principals, and peers (like YOU!), as well as envision their future education pathway through immersive college and career field trips.
