Garrett Pendergast is the late husband of Mallory Fuller Pendergast Miss Texas 2021. Garrett and Mallory met in the summer of 2020 and he quickly became involved in the Miss Texas world. Mallory believes that it was Garrett's support, love, and unwavering encouragement that gave her the extra confidence she needed to become Miss Texas.

Garrett was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2022. After 18 months of fighting, he was called home to heaven. Throughout his cancer journey, Garrett embodied strength and undeniable joy. He never complained about his circumstances and always had a smile on his face. He was fiercely loyal, generous, humble, and kind. His main priority in life was serving others and ensuring those around him knew the love of Christ.
