As a National Council Delegate, you will join fellow delegates (youth and adults) at the National Council Session to reinvigorate the Girl Scout Movement, celebrate accomplishments, and chart the organization’s future. This is a three-year commitment, requiring attendance at orientation and preparation meetings, and participation in all NCS sessions.

- Registered member of Girl Scouts of the USA
- At least 14 years old by October 1, 2025
National Council Delegate Accountabilities
- Elect National Board and Board Development Committee
- Amend Constitution
- Establish credential requirements
- Act on proposals
- Influence the Movement’s strategic direction
Duties of Delegates and Alternates
- Engage throughout the triennium via webinars, meetings, forums, and training.
- Represent the council at the National Council Session and any special sessions.
- Gather input from the membership and consider diverse perspectives.
- Share updates and decisions with the council.
Post-Session Responsibilities
- Report to the board and membership.
- Support onboarding of future delegates and alternates.
- Participate in council and national teleconferences or webinars as needed.
Time Commitment
National Council Delegates are elected at the Badgerland Annual Meeting and begin their term on October 1st, 2025. Delegates hold a three year term in alignment with GSUSA policy.
Triennium Overview
- Onboarding: Self-paced and virtual training from GSUSA and the council.
- Pre-NCS: Increasing education, including webinars, proposal briefings, and GSUSA updates.
- Throughout Term: Surveys, webinars, forums, and council meetings.
- Post-NCS: Reports and future delegate mentorship.
