We are thrilled that you are interested in continued speech therapy for your child over the summer! Beginning June 2nd through July 31st, we will offer therapy for students with a current individualized education plan (IEP), who receive speech services at their school.
Minimum of 6 sessions (REQUIRED)
Private Pay only
Who: Pre-K, Elementary, Middle and High School students with an IEP to treat speech-language disorders in the areas of; articulation/phonology, receptive-expressive language, fluency (stuttering), and social/pragmatic language.
What: Students will work on speech-language IEP goals, continuing to develop their communication skills during summer break. Sessions are provided in the clinic, in a 1:1 setting, maximizing time spent to address individual speech-language needs.
When: Families choose a minimum of 6 sessions and up to 16 sessions, between June 2-July 31. Sessions to be offered between 9am-12am. Actual session frequency (times per week) and duration (# of minutes) recommended will depend on child's severity. There is limited availability. Exact schedule to be discussed between therapist and family.
Where: 140 W. Main Street, Sanford NC 27332
Why: Speech therapy in schools typically provides consistent, structured practice multiple times a week/month. Over the summer, most students don’t receive therapy, which leads to less reinforcement of the skills they’ve been working on. Benefits of summer speech therapy include:
- Continued progress
- Individualized attention
- Generalization of skills in a new setting with a new provider
- Family involvement with update after sessions
- Flexible scheduling
- Smooth Transition into the new school year
How: Complete the registration form below. Staff will reach out to you to request enrollment information. Payments due each Sunday before scheduled weekly sessions.
