    Our Committment: 

    The Yulee Band Parent Association (YBPA) is a non-profit organization that deeply believes every student should have the chance to participate in the YHS's enriching marching band program, regardless of their family's financial situation. This application allows families to request financial assistance to help cover a portion or the entirety of the expected $700 Fair Share Contribution.

    Understanding Fair Share Contribution: 

    The expected annual fair share contribution of $700 helps to cover essential costs for our award-winning marching band program, including professional instruction, equipment, instrument maintenance and repairs, props, transportation to compeititons, and unfirom upkeep among many other things. Your contribution ensures that we can continue to provide a high-quality musical experience for all our band students. 

    Volunteer Hour Committment for Financial Assistance:

    To ensure the continued success of our band program, we rely heavily on the support of our dedicated parent volunteers. Therefore, financial assistance is linked to a committment to volunteer a specific number of hours during the upcoming band season.

    Please review the following volunteer hour tiers and select the option that your family commits to fullfilling. By selecting a tier and receiving financial assistance , you agree to the terms outline below

    • 30 Volunteer Hours: If you commit to volunteering 30 hours  during the season, you will receive the Full Fair-Share amount in financial assistance. 
    • 20 Volunteer Hours: If you commit to volunteering 20 hours during the season, you will receive $500 in financial assistance, making your fair share responsibility $250. 
    • 15 Volunteer Hours: If you commit to volunteering 15 hours during the season, you will receive $375 in financial assistance, making your remaining fair-share contribution $375. 
    • 10 Volunteer Hours: If you commit to volunteering 10 hours during the season, you will receive $250 in financial assistance, making your remaining fair share responsibility $500. 
    • 5 Volunteer Hours: If you commit to volunteering 5 hours during the season, you will receive $125 in financial assistance, making your remaining fair-share responsibility $625. 

    Agreement: 

    By selecting a volunteer hour tier below and accpeting financial assistance, I/we understand and agree to the following: 

    1. We commit to volunteering the selected number of hours on behalf of the Yulee Band Parent Association (YBPA) during the 2025-2026 season. 
    2. We understand that it is our responsibility to track and ensure that our committed volunteer hours are fulfilled by the designated deadline of May 15th, 2026. 
    3. We acknowledge that if we do not fulfill the agreed-upon volunteer hours by the deadline, the financial assistance received will be considered a debt owed to the Yulee Band Parent Association (YBPA). 
    4. We understand and agree that the amount of the fianncial assistance received will be added to our students account. 
    5. We further understand that failure to pay this amount may result in our student being unable to participate in future YBPA financial assistance programs and may impact their ability to graduate from Yulee High School until the debt is resolved according to school policy. 

    NOTE: ALL Financial Assistance Volunteer Hours MUST INCLUDE ONE SHRIMPFEST SHIFT.)

    Important Notes for Applicants: 

    • The deadline for submitting this application is June 1, 2025. Late applications may not be considered. 
    • Please remember that the estimated Fair Share contribution is tentative and will be finalized after our annual budget meeting. If the final amount changes, we will review all financial assistance requests and adjust the awarded amounts accordingly to ensure equitable support based on the updated Fair Share. We will communicate any changes to your individual assistance award.
    • All information provided will be kept confidential. 
    • The YBPA will review all applications and make decisions based on available funds and demonstrated need. 
    • You will be notified of the decision regarding your application by June 7, 2025.
