Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions apply to your booking with Sense of Self Retreat (we,us). By filling in this form you are irrevocably agreeing to enter into a contract with us on these terms and conditions. This contract becomes binding immediately on our confirmation of this form being completed.
DEFINITIONS
“You” refers to the guest booking a retreat. “We” and “us” refers to Sense of Self Retreat.
Prices are based per person, twin share (share with another retreat guest or bring a friend/partner) or for private rooms where specified, but DO NOT include flights or travel insurance. Clients must have adequate travel insurance to cover all activities listed.
Exclusion of Retreat Package
Retreat packages do not include the following:
International or domestic airfare
Optional extras and activities (Any meals, activities or tours not listed in the retreat package inclusions)
Entry visa to Retreat destination
Passport (must be valid for 6 months after departure date)
Mandatory insurance (as stated in section 3 below)
Airport transfers outside of the group shuttle / flight window
Personal expenses
Gratuity (at your own discretion)
Negative Covid Test Result for Entry/Exit of your home country or destination (if required)
Payment Policy
Deposit is always required to secure your spot and is non-refundable at any time.
Retreats are be priced in AUD or USD as listed on the Retreat booking page.
Final payment of your balance is due 60 days before the Retreat start date unless otherwise noted. Failure to make payment by the applicable due date may forfeit your booking on the retreat and be treated as a cancellation. If a booking is made less than 60 days before the Retreat start date, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.
If, for any Retreat booked, payment terms differ from those outlined in this section, the applicable terms will be communicated on the Retreat page. SOS Retreats is not responsible for any charges levied by third parties or financial institutions and payable by you as a result of credit card or other payment transactions and will not refund or return any fees charged by third parties or financial institutions in connection with payments made by you to SOS Retreats.
Cancellation Policy
SOS Retreats may cancel or postpone a Retreat for any reason up to 60 days before the Retreat start date. If the Retreat is cancelled, SOS Retreats will refund 100% of the Retreat package price including the deposit. In case of any cancellation for any reason, we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your Booking, including but not limited to, visas, vaccinations, unfavorable exchange rate fluctuations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
SOS Retreats shall not be liable or responsible to you for any failure or delay in fulfilling its services, when and to the extent such failure or delay is caused by or results from acts beyond SOS Retreats reasonable control, including, without limitation, the following force majeure events (“Force Majeure Event(s)”): (a) acts of God; (b) flood, fire, earthquake, pandemics, epidemics, drought, bushfire, storm or other natural disaster, explosion, or public health and safety emergency characterized by an applicable government authority; (c) war, invasion, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), terrorist threats or acts, riot or other civil unrest; (d) government order, law, or actions; (e) embargoes or blockades in effect on or after the date of this Agreement; (f) national or regional emergency; (g) strikes, labor stoppages or slowdowns, or other industrial disturbances; (h) shortage of adequate power or transportation facilities; (i) other events beyond the reasonable control of the Company.
In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events, SOS Retreats will reschedule the Retreat to a future date and provide you written notice of the same. If the retreat is postponed, your deposit and any payments will be transferred to the new dates. If you are unable to attend the new dates and wish to cancel, you will be entitled to a refund less the deposit amount. The deposit amount may be used as credit for any future retreat.
SOS Retreats shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you, including but not limited to the loss of the Deposit and/or Full Payment, as a result of a Force Majeure Event and/or the cancellation of a Retreat or Activity due to a Force Majeure Event. SOS Retreats is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.

You can cancel your attendance of SOS Retreat at anytime, in written form via email to
Cancellation & refund policies are as below:
Initial deposits are strictly non-refundable.
If cancelled between 120 to 90 days before the Retreat start date, 30% of any amounts paid after the initial deposit will be forfeited. Any remaining balance paid may be used as credit for future bookings within one year of the cancellation date.
If cancelled 90 days or less prior to the Retreat start date, 100% of all amounts paid is forfeited.
If you choose to join the Retreat after the start date or leave the Retreat prior to the end date, there are no refunds.
If you are being removed from the Retreat due to inappropriate, disturbing or harmful behavior, there will not be any amount refunded by SOS Retreats
TRAVEL INSURANCE
You must obtain travel insurance covering all dates and destinations of travel. Your insurance must cover at least: trip interruption, personal injury, medical expenses (including scooter cover), evacuation and repatriation cover including during pandemic events.
All guests should be well acquainted with government travel warnings and advice to retreat destinations before attending a retreat. Although we strongly encourage you to do so, you acknowledge that we are not in the business of providing insurance products and cannot be held liable if your failure to arrange suitable insurance coverage leaves you exposed, medically, financially or otherwise. Naturally, no one books with the intention of canceling or postponing their retreat, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider purchasing travel cancellation insurance.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
You must also declare any health, medical or dietary issues and requirements to us at the time of your booking and where necessary update that information prior to departure and during the retreat. Based on these disclosures we may require you to provide a medical certificate confirming that it is safe for you to participate in a retreat. Despite these disclosures and any medical certificates provided, you are wholly responsible for your own health, safety and wellbeing at all times during the retreat, including during all activities. You are free to stop or decline participating in any activity at any time for any reason.
You must also ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. You should consult your doctor regarding health requirements for your destination and your suitability to participate in the activities provided.
Photo/Video & Media Release
You agree that, while participating in any Retreat, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, SOS Retreats or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grant a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to SOS Retreats, its contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
If you do not wish to be on any photo,video or marketing content, please advise us in advance.

Any personal information that is collected by SOS Retreats about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of a Retreat or to send you marketing material in relation to our Retreats and special offers. The information may be disclosed to our agents, service providers or other suppliers to enable us to operate the Retreat.
LIABILITY
As a retreat guest, you indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge us, and its agents, employees, officers, directors, affiliates, successors and assigns,coaches, teachers and trustees of and from any and all claims, demands, debts, contracts, expenses, cause of action, lawsuits, damages, and liabilities, of every kind of nature, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, that you ever had or may have, arising from or in any way related to my participation in any of the events or activities conducted by us, provided that this waiver of liability does not apply to any acts of gross negligence, or intentional, wilful or wanton misconduct. You understand that the activities, in which you will participate, are inherently dangerous and may cause serious or grievous injuries, including bodily injury, damage to personal property and/or death. On behalf of yourself, your heirs, assigns, administrators, executors and next of kin, You waive all claims of damage, injuries and death sustained to you or your property, that you may have against the aforementioned release party to such activities, including claims in tort, contract, equity or otherwise.
You acknowledge, agree and represent that you understand the nature of Sense of Self Retreats, You are IN GOOD HEALTH and in PROPER PHYSICAL CONDITION to participate in such activities. You further agree and warrant that if at any time you believe conditions to be unsafe, You will IMMEDIATELY DISCONTINUE further participation in the activity.
By this Waiver, You assume any risk, and take full responsibility and waive and of personal injury; death, damage, or loss of personal property, associated with us, including but not limited to using the facility and its equipment in any manner, form or fashion, and participating and/or engaging in any, event or other related activities on and off the premises.
This WAIVER AND RELEASE contain the entire agreement between parties, and supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between them concerning the subject matter of this WAIVER AND RELEASE. The provisions of this WAIVER AND RELEASE may be waived, altered, amended or repealed, in whole or in part, only upon the prior written consent of all parties.
The provision of this WAIVER AND RELEASE will continue in full force and effect even after the termination of the activities conducted by, on the premises of, or for the benefit of the retreat, whether by agreement, by operation of law, or otherwise.
You have read, understood and fully agree to the terms of this WAIVER AND RELEASE. You understand and confirm that by signing this WAIVER AND RELEASE you have given up considerable future legal rights.
