2025-2026 GAME CHANGERS - Application Form
  • Please complete all sections of the application form to be considered for participation in the Game Changers program — a series of Sports, Team Building, and Peace Education activities implemented by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR), in collaboration with United Sports Cyprus (USC) and Akdeniz Spor Birliği (ASB).

    Game Changers program provides an opportunity to enhance participants; team building skills while simultaneously allowing them to explore concepts relevant to peace education including but not limited to diversity, anti-racism, discrimination, stereotypes, human rights and peace. 

    Children aged 8-17 will participate in monthly intercommunal activities, from October 2025 to April 2026, at the Home for Cooperation and Ledra Palace Hotel. These intercommunal activities will provide a platform to increase contact, communication and collaboration among children coming from different communities in Cyprus. 

    Applications are open but spaces are limited. 

     

    Participants will be selected based on below selection criteria; 

    • Attendance to 1 monocommunal workshop (see the date below)  
    • Commitment of attendance to at least 6 of the 8 sessions from October 2025 to April 2026 unless urgent situations (e.g. sickness) which can be handled on a case by case basis. 
    • Ages 8-17
    • Filling the entire application form within the deadline.

     *Dates are subject to slight changes due to exam periods. Intercommunal activities will take place in the afternoons.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    • The activities are designed for children between 8 and 17 years old.
    • Participants must be able to cross the checkpoints and enter the Ledra Palace Buffer Zone.
    • The intercommunal activities will take place in Nicosia at the Ledra Palace Buffer Zone.
    • Activities are delivered in three languages - English, Turkish and Greek.
    • All activities are free of charge and include snacks, t-shirt and water bottle. 

     

    Successful applicants will be provided with a more detailed description of the program agenda, items to bring and crossing documents.
