  • Eleanor Burton Scholarship Application

    The guiding principles of the Fauquier Co. Fair Scholarship Program are to promote educational programs that incorporate high ethical standards, integrity, and consistent educational growth and achievement. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded, provided the criteria is satisfactorily met and the evaluation committee deems applicant is worthy.
  • Who is eligible for the Eleanor Burton Scholarship?

    • Any graduate of a Fauquier County public or private school or a Fauquier County resident, who is an incoming college freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing
    • and will be no older than 22 as of July 1, 2025.
    • Has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
    • Must be enrolled in or will attend a higher education institution within the next calendar year (2-year or 4-year universities).
    • Cannot be a past winner of this scholarship.

  • 2025 Eleanor Burton Scholarship checklist:

    • Completed application and essay. Additional pages may be attached for section B-Fauquier Co. Fair participation, section D-Leadership, and section E-Community service.
    • Upload a copy of your most recent (unofficial is acceptable) transcript or report card.
    • Include two letters of recommendation from an adult not related to you.

    The application will not be placed into consideration if any item is missing at final due date.

    All entries must be submitted no later than July 1, 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
