  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering with FWR, every minute of a volunteer's time is greatly appreciated. However, please note the following before filling out the form:

    Wildlife rescue is not like domestic rescue, such as volunteering at your local animal shelter. You do not just get to come, cuddle and play with animals, and leave. Rehabilitator's are solely funded by donations and are usually run by just one person -such as FWR-, which means our time is extra valuable to us!

    That being said, I ask that volunteers try to be consistant in their time with FWR. I understand that things pop up, but please let me know ahead of time if you are unable to make your commited day or time slot! Again, my time is precious!

    Please come prepared for your "shift": Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, comfortable and closed-toe shoes, and please leave your phone in your pocket. This is not the time to hold a photo op for social media. Please leave young children at home or with a guardian unless you have spoken to me prior.

    Repeat offenders will be released from the volunteer program and not considered for opportunties in the future.

    FWR is not responsible for any injuries or damaged items whiel you are volunteering. Volunteer at your own risk!
