Welcome to The Silent Prayer Foster application!
We are a 501c3 dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless, and a home to the homeless, for all of our feline friends across long island. Thank you for your interest in being a part of that process and fostering some of our felines! Please keep in mind if you do choose to adopt one of these cats or kittens, you must follow along with the adoption process like any other adopter. Now please know, in order to be a considered applicant, you must understand the following: In order to foster you must be at least 21 years of age or older. The one applying must be the primary caretaker/foster of the pets you wish to foster under us. If you are a renter, you must provide your lease stating you're allowed to have pets at your residential address. Your legal name and address MUST be visible on the form. Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord if you have one. Be able to pick up supplies from us such as food and litter as needed. Kittens must be fostered in litters; we do not separate littermates. Please note: in order to foster for us you must be within 20 - 30 minutes from Mastic NY. The process will consist of a background check, Landlord/view of leasing information, references and the virtual home visit. We do require all fosters are kept separated from your personal pets.
