Back 9 variance support letter

Attn: Fort Wayne Board of Zoning Appeals,

This letter is to express my support to create a variance to allow Back 9 to conduct business operations on the land located at approximately 9218 North Clinton Street.

I am excited to support a business that will change the paradigm of what it means to invest into Fort Wayne, IN and Northeast IN as a whole. Back 9’s Urban Golf business concept is new and innovative and appears in major markets across the United States. I believe there isn’t a better location for them to establish themselves then adjacent to two major interstate highways. Being immediately adjacent to I-469 allows for them to have visibility while mitigating any impact to nearby residential homes, and their respective home values. The data the developer has shared with me proves that there isn’t a measurable negative impact in any facet of this business. Home values are proven to increase, light pollution is immeasurable outside of the business’ field of play, and sound decibel ratings show no change in ambient noise while standing in the parking lot of Back 9.

Truthfully, I do not see a negative for Fort Wayne in allowing this business to reside at The Villages of Arneo. I urge you to vote yes on this project that has the potential to transcend and redefine community development not just in Fort Wayne, but Northeast Indiana as well.
