The Trait Inventory is a structured tool designed to help our hiring team better understand how your workplace traits align with the role. It provides additional insight to support more meaningful interviews and clearer conversations about role fit. Please note that your responses are one of several data points considered during the hiring process and do not solely determine hiring decisions.

We often form quick judgments about why things happen—both when outcomes are positive and when they aren’t. This screener presents a series of short workplace scenarios. For each one, imagine you are the person in the situation, then identify the primary reason you believe the outcome occurred.

You’ll first describe what caused the outcome. Then, you'll answer three follow-up questions about the cause you chose:

• Was it something about you?
• Is it likely to happen again?
• Does it happen in other situations too

There are no right or wrong answers. Trust your instincts and respond honestly. If a question is unclear, hover over the text for a helpful tip.

Scenario 1

Imagine you are working closely with a new colleague or team on a difficult project. You find that you collaborate exceptionally well together, leading to a strong working relationship and successful project outcome.

Scenario 2

Imagine you need to coordinate with a colleague from another department on a time-sensitive work issue. However, your attempts to collaborate are met with resistance or unresponsiveness, hindering progress.

Scenario 3

Imagine you are at a training on the use of AI in businesses.  While there you unexpectedly have an opportunity to share about the work you do and the product you oversee.  A week later you receive an email from your team's sales person saying an owner from your training just signed a contract for your product and cited your conversation as the primary reason why.

Scenario 4

Imagine you are responsible for managing an important work task with a specific deadline. Due to unforeseen issues or difficulties, you miss the deadline, causing complications for others.
