    The mission of the Black Raven Marketplace is to create a space that showcases an array of unique and imaginative vendors, artists and creators who resonate with a darker, more alternative audience. Our goal is to provide a marketplace where unconventional, eerie and artfully macabre products can thrive, offering attendees an immersive experience that celebrates the mysterious and the beautifully strange. By bringing together talented individuals who specialize in fashion, art, accessories, decor, and more, we aim to foster a community where those with a passion for the unusual and the extraordinary can connect and find inspiration. The most colorful minds often thrive in the shadows.

     

    Our Process

    The Black Raven Marketplace values your feedback regarding any issues or concerns you may have. It allows us to review our practices and improves our vendor experience.

    To further clarify the Vendor Application process, we at Black Raven Marketplace must adhere to California requirements to hold our events. It is important to understand that most California city and counties have their own Business License and tax ordinance, which require a license to operate and permit to sell. As the event operator, we may be held liable for penalties for any vendor who does not have the required documentation. For all Black Raven Marketplace events, we will continue to make sure that participating vendors have valid business documents. Within a 90 day window of your event with us, you can forward a copy of your sellers permit with the temporary pop up location address. (Not your home address) Send your sellers permit copy to BlackRaven@BlackRavenMarketplace.com

     

    Event Hours

    We at Black Raven Marketplace must adhere to the venue rules to hold our event. As the event operator, our goal is to arrange our show schedule so that all vendors have ample time to set up and take down, with a focus on actual vending hours.

    Night time markets: 3:00pm move in. Market hours 5pm-9:30pm. Vacate by 10:30pm

     

    Maximizing Your Profits        

    To aide our vendors with maximizing their profits, we would like to suggest that you consider alternative ways to market your products.

    • Increase/decrease pricing based on Orange County/demographics
    • Bundle products
    • Offer multiple versions of your product at different price points
    • Show specials for your followers/attendees
    • Plan to merchandise your table as high as eye level to maximize your space

  • VENUE

    Our night time venue is located at 2nd Street Promenade, Santa Ana, California. 125. N. Broadway, Santa Ana. This is an outdoor show with a flat asphalt surface and electricity. Parking structures are in walking distance.  At the time of this writing, the parking fee is $10. Metered street parking is available $1-$2 per hour. (metered parking enforced until 8pm on Saturdays) Download ParkMobile app for convienace (there is a transaction fee)

     

    VENDOR SPACE & FEE

    Night time events:

    10x10 Space - $100 per date. Bring your own gear. Tables, chairs, *canopies and umbrellas will not be provided. Electricity is available. Bring your own heavy duty extension cords (25-50 foot) and surge bar. *Canopies and umbrellas are not required, but you are welcomed to bring them.

    Battery powered or solar powered lights will work. Those using a generator as an electrical source, no gasoline generators are allowed.

    Storage containers must be hidden or discreetly stored within the assigned space.

    No open flame, burning sage or use of fog machines.

    When being accepted to vend with us, you are committing to our roster of sellers for that date. Payment in full is needed for all the dates you have been accepted for.

     

    CANCELLATIONS/NO SHOWS

    Vendors that need to cancel, and with seven (7) days advanced notice,will be eligible for a one time roll over date/credit. Cancellations and no shows without 7 days advanced notice are not eligible for a roll over date/credit.

     

    VENDOR APPLICATION

    Applications will be reviewed and those that match our criteria will be notified by email that they now have the space at the Black Raven Marketplace. Please check your SPAM incase you don't hear from us.

    Our criteria: brand alignment, product quality, product variety, audience appeal, professionalism, merchandising know how, price range.

    PAYMENT IS DUE UPON ACCEPTANCE. YOUR SPACE IS NOT SECURE UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. SHOULD PAYMENT NOT BE RECIEVED WITHIN 48 HOURS, YOUR SPACE IS FORFEITED. 

    Those with multiple vending dates, your space is only confirmed once payment is recieved.

    Currently, vending fees are being accepted through Zelle using our email address BlackRaven@BlackRavenmarketplace.com Please include your full name-business name and dates you are submitting a fee for.

    MARKETING

    Black Raven Marketplace will do our part to bring you your audience. We utilize social media platforms, free, as well as paid for advertising, gorilla marketing within Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Inland Empire and the Valleys. We invite clubs, associations and meet-up groups to use our event as a back drop for their own gatherings. We blanket other events and locations where our audience is.

     

    WEATHER POLICY

    Our events are held outdoors. Should adverse weather be in the forecast, please allow us to evaluate the conditions and determine the best solution for the MAJORITY of sellers. Cancelletions by Black Raven Marketplace will be rescheduled and your fee be credited to another date.

     

    SELLING SPACE

    Selling space must be manned at all times during the show. Black Raven Marketplace volunteers will act as floaters to releive you at your booth should you need take a bathroom break, feed the meter, etc.

     

    MERCHANDISE

    The sale of alcohol, tobacco, "420" products, firearms, and weapons of any kind is prohibited. Taxidermy needs verification of being ethically sourced.

     

    VENDOR PROMOTION

    Black Raven Marketplace will supply marketing materials in advance of the show. This will typically be a social media graphic that can be used for your promotion, announcing the event you are participating in. Promoting 2 weeks in advance all the way up to the day before the event is suggested.

    LIABILITY

    It is recommended that you carry your own liability insurance. (Act Insurance provides coverage for as low as $49 for a one day pop up event) However, if you opt not to purchase insurance, the Black Raven Marketplace will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the participants property, injury to, or death of the participant. or its agents, employees, and/or personnel or participants sales. Participant assumes all risks of loss, damage, liability, injury, or destruction, resulting from any cause whatsoever, including, but not limited to, acts or omissions by participant, and hereby releases and waives any claims against the Black Raven Marketplace related to such loss, damage, liability, injury and/or destruction.

     

    BUSINESS LICENSE

    Sellers are responsible for the operation of their own business, including their own business license for the city/cities they sell in. Should you choose to move forward to apply for a business license, visit our website to download the business license for Santa Ana.

     

    SELLERS PERMIT

    Businesses must have a valid Seller's Permit to sell. Your Seller's Permit must include the address that you will be physically selling at, (NOT YOUR HOME ADDRESS) Please send us a copy of your sellers permit. Organizers must keep three (3) years of records. Send your copy to blackraven@blackravenmarketplace.com

    PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO

    Photos and/or video may be taken of your space and products with these images and video being used by Black Raven Marketplace for promotional purposes. The use of images are to promote the event as a whole and not highlight a brand or business. Images may be of sellers that are not currently included to sell with us and can be used by Black Raven Marketplace indefinetly.

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT

    Be nice. Be kind. We are in this together.

    If you make physical or verbal threats, or abuse, are obscene, libelous or have slanderous conduct, disruptive behavior, willful disobedience, profanity, vulgarity towards vendors, black Raven marketplace staff, you will be evicted promptly and can expect permanent expulsion from future Black Raven Marketplace shows.

     

    COMPLIANCE

    The Black Raven Marketplace reserves the right to restrict and evict any seller for non-compliance with rules and regulations, as stated herewith, or any seller whose method of operation distracts from the integrity of the event without refund to the seller. No seller shall conduct business to interfere with or disturb others. Failure to comply with any of these rules stated here with shall be grounds for eviction from this event without refund.
