The following guidelines outline the submission process, content restrictions, and responsibilities of
participating artists.
Eligibility
- Submissions are open to artists of all backgrounds and experience levels.
- Artwork must align with Citrus Heights Arts' mission and community standards.
Submission Process
1. Application: Artists must submit an application with images of the proposed artwork, an artist
statement, and a brief description of the work.
2. Review: All submissions are reviewed by the Citrus Heights Arts selection committee and the City of Citrus Heights.
3. Approval: Selected artists will receive a confirmation email with display details.
4. Delivery: Approved artworks must be delivered by the designated deadline.
Content Restrictions
To maintain a respectful and inclusive environment, Citrus Heights Arts does not accept artwork that
includes:
- Profanity or explicit language
- Violence or graphic imagery
- Political or religious themes that are inflammatory or derogatory
- Nudity or sexually explicit content
- Discriminatory or offensive depictions of any group
- Advertisements or promotional material for businesses or organizations
Citrus Heights Arts reserves the right to reject or remove any artwork that does not adhere to these
guidelines.
Display & Installation
- All artworks must be ready for display (framed, mounted, or otherwise prepared for installation).
- Artists are responsible for delivering and retrieving their artwork within the specified timeframe.
- Citrus Heights Arts retains the right to arrange artwork in a manner that best suits the exhibition
space.
Liability & Insurance
- Citrus Heights Arts does not provide insurance for submitted artwork.
- Artists display their work at their own risk and agree that Citrus Heights Arts is not responsible for
any damage, loss, or theft of artwork.
- By submitting work, artists waive any claims against Citrus Heights Arts and its affiliates for
damages.
Promotion & Sales
- Selected artworks may be featured in promotional materials, social media, and press releases.
- Artists may offer their artwork for sale; however, Citrus Heights Arts does not facilite salestransactions. All sales
arrangements must be handled directly by the artist. All art will remain in city Hall until the end of the installation. No Exceptions. Artists are encouraged to provide contact information for interested buyers.
Agreement & Compliance
By submitting artwork, artists agree to comply with these guidelines and the decisions of the Citrus Heights Arts
selection committee and the City of Citrus Heights. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in removal from current and
future exhibitions.
