Our new Inclusive Spirits program provide additional training opportunities for players with a disability, both in the NWSF association and in our local area.
The program also serves as a pathway for these players to become Para Pathway players with NWS Spirit FC squads.
The program will be open to any player with a disability. This includes…
- Players with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries such as from stroke or trauma, or other conditions that affect motor control and coordination.
- Players with vision impairments, including partial sight or complete blindness, can compete in blind football under the IBSA classification system.
- Players with intellectual disabilities, such as a diagnosed condition with an IQ below 75 and onset before age 18, are eligible for Football ID competitions.
- Players with limb deficiencies, whether congenital or acquired through injury.
- Players with neuromuscular conditions like muscular dystrophy or multiple sclerosis may also be eligible, depending on the functional impact of their condition.
- Players with autism spectrum disorder may be included, particularly if their diagnosis is accompanied by intellectual or developmental disabilities.

- Fortnightly on Fridays, commencing May 30
- 4.30pm to 5.30pm
- Christie Park
Coaches will...
- Arrive at 3.45pm (or as early as possible after school) to assist with set up
- Support the delivery of sessions alongside our Inclusive Spirits lead
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive environment for players
This role is non-paid. It provides opportunity for players to gain experience working in inclusive sporting environments and coaching.
