2026 CWAJ Graduate Scholarship for
Non-Japanese Women to Study in Japan

The Non-Japanese Graduate Program (NJG), established in 1981, supports graduate study in Japan for non-Japanese women who are enrolled in a PhD degree program at a Japanese university. Scholarships are awarded based on a candidate’s academic excellence, the quality and feasibility of her proposed study, and her potential to contribute to society. The Scholarship does not impose restrictions on field of study or age.

An Application ID Number is required to submit all scholarship application documents, including your references. Your application number and the links to application forms, and links to upload your application documents and letters of reference, will be sent to you by email upon completing and submitting this form. Please complete this form in English.
