    The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s popular Outdoor Farmers’ Market has been bringing local food and goods downtown for more than 12 years. Held weekly, the market is a well-loved spot for Winnipeg’s growing downtown business and residential community to shop and support local!

  • Please note:

    The 2025 Downtown Outdoor Farmers’ Market is food-focused, with priority given to vendors offering local, home-grown and homemade food and beverage products. A limited number of vendor spaces are also available for artisans whose products are handmade and include local materials and / or locally-inspired artistic themes.

  • Market Dates

    The 2025 Downtown Outdoor Farmers' Market will run every Thursday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. from July 3, 2025 to October 2, 2025. Please select all dates you are interested in joining the market as a vendor. We will send acceptance or regrets emails for each selected date.

  • Weather Policy

    The 2025 Downtown Outdoor Farmers' Market is a 100% outdoor, rain-or-shine event with no indoor vendor area. In the case of extreme or dangerous weather, we will issue a cancellation notice as soon as possible and refund all affected vendors.

  • Cancellation Policy

    If you're accepted to our Farmers' Market but need to cancel, please provide at least 48 hours' notice so we can try to fill your spot. Without 48 hours' notice, your market fee will not be refunded and any future confirmed dates could be cancelled.

  • Lateness Policy

    If you are accepted to our Farmers' Market and arrive after 9:30 a.m. on your confirmed market date, you will be considered late and any future confirmed market dates could be cancelled.

  • TERMS OF AGREEMENT: 

    I hereby apply to be a vendor at the Downtown Winnipeg Outdoor Farmers’ Market (“the market”) produced by the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ (“the BIZ”). I understand that space allocated by the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers' Market Coordinator is based on the requirements I have submitted, and on the appropriate allocation of space to create a viable vendor market mix. I understand that the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers’ Market Coordinator will make every effort to accommodate my requests but cannot provide a guarantee. I understand that my participation in the market is entirely at my own risk. Neither the BIZ nor any other party are responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items occurring before, during or after the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers' Market.

    In accordance with Manitoba laws this market does not tolerate aggressive behavior, verbal abuse, or harassment towards board members, staff, fellow vendors, customers, visitors, or volunteers. Inappropriate action may result in refusal of service, being asked to leave, or contacting local authorities. The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ holds the right to ask anyone upsetting the harmonious operation of the market to leave the premises or remove them from the market.

    I have read the Manitoba Health Farmers’ Market Guidelines found here: www.gov.mb.ca/health/publichealth/environmentalhealth/protection/docs/farmers_market.pdf. I agree to follow all regulations described therein.

    I understand that not all applicants are granted space at the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers' Market and that it is the right and responsibility of the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers' Market Coordinator to decide allocation of space. I understand that I can be removed from the market if the Market Coordinator feels I am not abiding by the rules and expectations that are set for vendors in the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers' Market.

    I agree to act respectful and reasonable towards contractors, BIZ staff, volunteers, other vendors, board members, market patrons or members of the public at all times. Failure to comply with this policy could result in termination of my participation in the market at any time, with no notice required.

    By accepting this agreement, I declare the information on this form to be complete and accurate and I agree to pay the rates as set out in this document. I understand that methods of payment are online or by cheque. I understand that market fee payments are non-refundable except in the case of a change or cancelation of the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers’ Market by the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ. 

    NOTE: SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE INCLUSION AT THE DOWNTOWN WINNIPEG OUTDOORS FARMERS' MARKET. YOUR APPLICATION WILL GO THROUGH AN APPROVAL PROCESS AND YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IF ACCEPTED.

  • VENDOR PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE FORM

    One way that Downtown Winnipeg BIZ (“the BIZ”) and Downtown Winnipeg Outdoor Farmers’ Market (“the market”) supports vendors and their businesses is through marketing and communication mediums such as social media and printed promotional materials. We (Downtown Winnipeg BIZ staff) often take photos and videos of our vendors, their products, their booths, and the entire market. We occasionally hire a photographer and/or videographer to take professional photos as well.  

    As a vendor at the Downtown Winnipeg Farmers’ Market (“the market”), I hereby grant permission to the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ the rights of my image, in video or still, and of the likeness and sound of my voice as recorded on audio or video tape without payment or any other consideration.  

    I understand that my images or images of my products and services may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed and waive the right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or recording.  

    I further grant the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ the right to create derivative works of these images and recordings in any media now known or later developed as well as my name for promoting, publicizing, or explaining the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and its activities.  I acknowledge that the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ owns all rights to the images and recordings.  I acknowledge that I am over the age of 18 years.
