    Welcome to the new world of Smart Electricity Trading.

    The purpose of this form is to:

    • Inform you of the new electricity trading opportunities on offer.
    • Provide you with the opportunity to sign-up for these new services.


    NOTE:
    Completing this form is the MANDATORY STARTING POINT of your Smart Electricity Trading journey.
    After you completed this activation form, we'll revert with the relevant follow-up documentation for your completion.

    NEW services rendered by the municipality:

    The municipality is excited to introduce TWO new trading opportunities for all current electricity consumers:


    You can become a SMART GREEN ENERGY SUPPLIER. This is where you own a PV plant connected to the grid (via a municipality-installed smart meter provided at zero cost), and you have green energy to push back into the municipal grid. Once all compliance checks have been conducted, you get paid an agreed-upon fee for the green energy injected into the grid. This is given in the form of a daily credit, which effectively reduces what you owe the municipality for energy used from the grid, or, where applicable, gets paid out as a service-provided fee.


    You can become a SMART GREEN ENERGY RECIPIENT. This is where you receive an equally shared portion of all green energy injected into the grid. Meaning, you get a green energy discount credit, which effectively reduces what you owe the municipality for energy used from the grid. NOTE: You don't need a PV plant, but you must have a municipality account and an installed smart metre (provided at zero cost).
