Triple Crown Sports – Formal Protest Submission: Eligibility Concern Regarding Transgender Participation

This form is to be submitted exclusively by the Head Coach of a registered team competing in a Triple Crown Sports event, for the purpose of filing a formal protest regarding athlete eligibility within a designated girls division. Specifically, this form addresses concerns about an athlete’s eligibility related to assigned sex at birth.

Per Triple Crown Sports policy, all participating teams are required to carry an unaltered, copy of birth certificate for each rostered athlete. This document, issued by a government authority, may be reviewed in the event of an eligibility protest.

Please provide a clear, factual explanation of your eligibility concern. Protests must be based on credible, specific information—such as a discrepancy in documentation or a direct statement from a team representative. Note: Triple Crown Sports will not consider protests based solely on an athlete’s appearance, voice, demeanor, or personal assumption.

All protests will be reviewed confidentially by a designated committee. Gameplay will proceed uninterrupted during the review. At no time will the athlete in question be publicly identified, confronted, or removed from play. Triple Crown Sports is committed to ensuring the integrity of competition while protecting the dignity, safety, and privacy of all participants.

The designated committee will review the protest confidentially. This may include requesting and examining the athlete’s unaltered, copy of birth certificate, as required for all rostered participants.

During this review:

• Gameplay will continue uninterrupted.
• The athlete in question will not be removed from play or publicly addressed.
• Any findings or actions will be communicated privately to the team’s Head Coach.
• Our goal is to resolve eligibility questions with discretion, professionalism, and care for all parties involved.

• My team and all others are required to carry an unaltered, copy of the birth certificate for each rostered athlete.
• The review process will remain confidential and non-disruptive.
• I will conduct myself and my team in a manner that respects the privacy and dignity of the athlete in question.
• I accept the committee's final determination for this event.
