Youth of the Year Application
To further promote AHA youth programs, one outstanding youth, per calendar year, will be selected for his/her achievements and contributions to the Arabian horse industry, AHA and his/her community. See complete program rules in the AHA Handbook.
1. All applicants must be current AHA youth members
2. Applications must be submitted on or before September 1 of the current year.
3. Applications must be approved by the youth’s Regional Director or Director-At-Large
4. Applications and supporting materials become the property of the AHA and cannot be returned.
5. If all requirements are not met your application becomes ineligible
6. Recommended that nominees be 14 years or older.
7. Application must be completed by the applicant.

The parent/guardian of the nominee acknowledges that AHA has the sole right to control, sell, supervise or give away (or to assign to others the right to do so) the exclusive rights to broadcast, televise, reproduce, transmit, and disseminate all or part of this youth program and grants AHA the right to make use of any photographs, films, or videotapes taken of the entry in anyway they see fit in the promotion of the youth program or AHA. No such advertising or promotional rights shall include the right to use a nominee’s name or likeness in a manner which implies endorsement of any company, product, category, or service.

The following must be included for your application to be considered:
- One letter of recommendation from someone you know through your involvement with horses.
- One letter of recommendation from someone you know through a non-horse-related activity.
- One letter of recommendation from someone you know through your education.
- A current, official school transcript detailing the past year of school.
- A recent 3” x 5” photograph, head and shoulders only.
