  • Complete Form W-4 so that your employer can withhold the correct federal income tax from your pay. Your withholding is subject to review by the IRS.

  • Parsonage Designation

    • The Parsonage Housing Allowance is a designated portion of a clergy member’s compensation used to cover housing expenses. This allowance may include rent, mortgage payments, utilities, property taxes, and other related costs.
    • To comply with tax and school policies, clergy members must complete the Parsonage Housing Expense Form, detailing their eligible housing expenses.
    • This form ensures proper documentation and ensures the amount is allocated to the appropriate allowance. Staff members must submit this form annually or whenever there are significant changes to their housing costs.
    • For any tax-related questions regarding parsonage, please consult your accountant, as HR is not able to provide tax guidance or advice.
  • Important Information - Please Read Before Completing this Form

    • Compensation received as a parsonage allowance is not subject to federal income tax and should not be included in taxable income on your Form 1040. However, it is subject to self-employment tax and must be reported on Schedule SE of your tax return. Please consult your accountant for guidance on how this applies to your specific situation.
    • The aggregate parsonage allowance may not exceed the fair rental market value of the home including furnishings (and garage) plus utilities. Excess amounts should be reported as income on your tax return.
    • Evidence of expenses should be kept in your files.
    • The Board will need review and approve this request prior to any parsonage payments being issued. You will receive a formal copy of the approval, please keep a copy for your records.

  • QTR Benefit - Qualified Tuition Reduction

  • QTR Benefit & Schedule


    Zucker Schools has established a Qualified Tuition Reduction/Reimbursement (QTR) benefit program for dependent children of Zucker School employees. The amount of QTR provided is excluded from an employee’s gross income, however, it cannot and does not reduce an employee’s gross income.


    QTR, by law, can only be applied to tuition costs and is not to be applied to the cost of other fees, including, but not limited to textbooks, registration fees, activities fees, lunch fees, testing fees, etc.


    A copy of tuition invoices must be provided along with your application for QTR if your child(ren) attends a school other than Zucker Schools.


    QTR will be determined based on job classification and years of consecutive service. Changes in job classification will be evaluated on an individual basis and a prorated amounts with be offered.

    Requests for QTR and their designations are made once a year, at the begining of the school year, prior to September 1st. If there are exceptional circumstances that require a change in designation, please discuss this matter with the HR Department at your earliest convenience. Requests for changes are not guaranteed and will require admin approval.


    QTR will apply as follows:

    • QTR may be applied to your dependent child(ren)’s tuition obligation at Zucker Schools OR for tuition obligations at other schools.
    • QTR Benefits will only apply to tuition dependent child(ren)’s attending Kindergarten – 12th grade.
    • QTR will first apply to tuition to any dependent child(ren) attending Zucker Schools.
    • QTR will apply before tuition assistance. If you have a financial need, you may apply for tuition assistance, however, it will be calculated after your QTR benefit.
    • Zucker will make payments directly to your dependent child(ren)'s school in the following manner.

    Payments will be made monthly, following the first month of your employment.

    First payment will be sent by September 1st and will continue as such for 10 payments, through June 1st.

    • The amount of QTR provided within this benefit is for an entire school year, and will be prorated on a monthly basis should you leave employment with Zucker Schools and/or should your dependent child no longer attend a Kindergarten – 12th grade school.
