  • LIP CLIENTS

    Cold Sores, Herpes Simplex

Stimulation from the needle during lip tattooing cause an outbreak even if you've only had one cold sore your entire life. This can make the healing process unpleasant and can result in pigment loss.

It is crucial to contact your doctor for an antiviral prescription if you have ever had one to make sure the healing process is as smooth and pain free as possible :)

YOU MUST BE ON AN ANTIVIRAL PRESCRIBED FROM YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE HAD EVEN ONE COLD SORE

    AFTERCARE
For your eyebrows, clean with cleanser provided by Kenzie with cotton rounds every hour after your procedure (and until you go to sleep) let them dry naturally or pat dry very gently. Do not rub!

‐  Keep them dry for 5 days, preferably until you are done peeling and scabbing. Avoid soaking them under water in the shower.
‐  If your eyebrows are scabbing too much, or are too dry, you can apply just a little bit of healing cream or Aquaphor once a day starting on the 3rd day
    from your procedure.

     AFTER CARE

‐ After the procedure, dab lips with a damp cotton pad every 1-2 hours until bedtime to absorb the lymph.

‐ Following the procedure, keep the lips moist using a colorless lip balm, Aquaphor, vitamin E oil or similar for two weeks (if using a lip balm, it has to be brand new), as this will keep the peeling to the minimum, for better results.

‐ Do not let the area dry out completely, since this can cause scabbing and cracking on the skin surface.

‐ At least for 3 days following your procedure, try not to irritate your lips with salty, sour, and spicy foods until lips have completely healed. Also, avoid drinks that can stain your lips (beat juice, and red wine for example)
‐ While eating, do not constantly wipe the lips with a napkin or keep licking your lips, as this will obstruct the healing process.
‐ Do not wear makeup for two weeks on your treated area.

‐ Be careful when brushing your teeth, to avoid irritation.
