• Business, Commercial, and Institutional Curbside Recycling Application Form

  • In June 2021, the Ontario Government adopted new recycling regulations that shift the responsibility of collecting recycling from Municipalities to the Producers of paper products and product packaging. Under the new regulatory framework, Producers are only required to collect recycling material from residential and other eligible properties (e.g. schools, not for-profit long-term care, multi-residential, etc.).

    This means that as of January 2, 2026, many businesses currently receiving Blue Box collection will no longer be eligible for this service.

    To address this service gap, Oxford County is establishing a new recycling collection program. Businesses, commercial facilities and institutions such as small businesses, not-for-profit organizations, municipal buildings or facilities (libraries, arenas), childcare centres, places of worship, campgrounds, trailer parks (without permanent or seasonal households), or commercial farms without an onsite residence can apply to receive recycling collection through Oxford County.

    *Note: This change will not affect curbside garbage collection, which will continue to be collected by the municipal and/or the County’s collection contractors/service providers.

  • To Apply

    1. Property owners or designates of the property owners must complete this application form;
    2. The property must be located along a residential collection route;
    3. Property owners or designates must comply with all Oxford County collection requirements;
    4. The property must meet all eligibility criteria as defined in O. Reg. 103/94;
    5. The property owners or designates must own* or purchase 360L recycling carts or 83L Blue Boxes.

    *If you already own recycling containers that you plan to use, Oxford County will provide program identification stickers and instructions on where to place them on your existing containers. Containers must be in good condition with no cracks, breaks or sharp edges, and the grab bar and handle must be intact.

  • Based on the information provided, your property does not meet the program requirements. For recycling services, please contact a third party waste hauler.

  • If the property already owns 83L blue boxes or 360L recycling carts and the property owners or designates would like to use them, each blue box or cart, will require program identification stickers. If your application is approved, Oxford County will mail two (2) stickers for each 83L blue box and three (3) stickers for each 360L cart to the mailing address entered below.

  • All businesses will be able to participate in Oxford County’s green bin (organics) curbside program. Woodstock and South-West Oxford businesses can begin diverting in January 2026, and the remaining 6 municipalities can join the program in May 2027. Businesses are eligible to receive one courtesy 45L green bin & 7L kitchen container. Additional 45L green bins or 120L green carts can be purchased at cost.

  • Applicants can order 83L blue boxes and/or 360L grey recycling carts. Oxford County will email the applicant to notify them of the status of their application. If successful, the email will contain payment instructions to pay for the blue box(es) or cart(s) ordered through this form and details about cart delivery and pick up options.
