Call for Hosts: MDS-AOS Schools (2026-2028)

Host Requirements: Institution Facilities

The host institution must be able to provide the following meeting space:

Lecture Hall: One (1) lecture theater/classroom for maximum 115 people for two consecutive days – with audiovisual equipment for lectures (projector, screen, and sound amplification)

Breakouts: Four (4) to six (6) examination or workshop breakout rooms in close proximity to each other.
Optional: space near the patient examination rooms for a patient and caregiver lounge during patient rounds.

Catering: Function space outside lecture hall to hold catered tea/coffee and lunch breaks for up to 115 people (faculty, students, staff).  

Corporate Sponsor Exhibits: Function space outside of lecture hall to accommodate corporate sponsor exhibit tables (each table no larger than 2 meters in length).

Fees: Rental for the space should be offered complimentarily or at a discount. (Please describe anticipated fees associated with rental of the lecture hall and clinical examination space)

Host Requirements: Movement Disorder Patients

The host institution must be able to recruit a wide range of patients with different movement disorders to participate in clinical examination rounds.

Host Requirements: Movement Disorder Faculty

The institution should be able to include local expert faculty to serve as lecturers and leaders of clinical examination rounds and student video cases.

Host Requirements: Accessibility to Region

The course venue should have convenient access to an international airport within the region.

 

Host Requirements: Affordable Local Area

The host city should have access to ample, reasonably priced housing and transportation for participants to arrange own accommodation and transport to the course venue. (maximum $250 USD/night)

Additionally, Schools include one evening event: an educational video dinner or a networking reception. Recommendations for reasonably priced event venues are encouraged.

MDS-AOS is accepting applications for schools in 2026-2028.  Please indicate below which year(s) your institution could coordinate a school and the approximate month(s) that your institution could host the program.
