Junior Mutton Bustin Application

Contestants must be at least 4 years of age and not older than 5 years of age and weigh 60 pounds or less on the day of the event. Long pants, long sleeve shirt and sturdy closed toe shoes are required. Helmets & vests will be supplied and riders will be required to wear them. The Contestant and only one (1) adult will be allowed in the bucking chute area.

Applications will be processed and accepted in the order in which they are received. Only one application per contestant will be considered. It is mandatory that on the day of your performance that the contestant and parent/guardian check in 45 minutes prior to riding time at the Mutton Bustin Office. Late arrivals will forfeit their spot and not be allowed to compete. This time is required to prepare the contestant to compete. An entry fee of $20 will be charged to each contestant and will be collected at sign in.

You will be notified via email if your application has been accepted and the date and time of participation. Due to the popularity of this event contestants can only be selected for one performance.

MUTTON BUSTIN’ PARTICIPANTS RELEASE

I, the undersigned, as the Parent or Legal Guardian, understand and acknowledge that rodeo events are dangerous activities and that participation in any rodeo event, as a contestant, exposes the participant to a potential risk of personal injury.

The undersigned also understands and acknowledges that the animals used in rodeo events of Clark County Fair & Rodeo have unpredictable behavior and the animal’s behavior may be unknown, as is the participant’s ability to control the animal. The undersigned expressly acknowledges that participation in any rodeo event will involve such hazards.

Mindful of these facts, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound hereby, and in consideration of being allowed to participate, or being allowed to have a child participate, in the Clark County Fair & Rodeo Mutton Bustin’, does hereby forever release, on behalf of himself or herself and / or his or her child, Clark County Fair Inc. dba Clark County Fair & Rodeo and it’s employees, agents, affiliates and sponsors, from any liability or fault, known or unknown, and hereby assumes and accepts, the risk and dangers associated with this event.

The undersigned agrees to grant permission for all images or likenesses of the participant captured at the event through video or digitial photograph to be used for promotional materials of the Clark County Fair Inc. & Clark County Fair & Rodeo.

The undersigned agrees to indemnify, hold harmless Clark County Fair Inc. & Clark County Fair & Rodeo, any suppliers, sponsors, officers, directors, members, servants, employees, agents or affiliates of any and all loss, liability or damage arising out of, directly or indirectly, the participation of the undersigned or his child or children in the Clark County Fair & Rodeo Mutton Bustin’.

This release shall be binding upon the undersigned and the undersigned’s spouse, legal representatives, child or children, heirs, successors and assigns, and should any term or other provision of this release be held invalid, illegal or incapable of being enforced due to any rule of law or public policy, all of the other conditions, provisions and paragraphs of this release shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.

I agree to be bound in my individual capacity as a parent or legal guardian for the child I have entered into or allowed to participate in the Clark County Fair & Rodeo.
The laws of the State of Nevada will apply in all instances regarding the interpretation and enforceability of this release and this release shall be performed in the County of Clark of the State of Nevada.

The undersigned has full power, authority, capacity, and rights without limitations to execute, deliver and perform this complete release. This release has been carefully and fully read by the undersigned and the undersigned fully understands its terms and conditions and has voluntarily executed this release.
