III. Terms and Conditions
By signing this application, the potential Renter (hereafter "Renter") acknowledges and agrees to the following:
1. Agreement to Policy: The Renter has received, read, and agreed to abide by Southminster Presbyterian Church (USA) 's Facility Use and Rental Policy.
2. Restrictions: No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances are allowed on church property. No drag or burlesque performances are permitted. Political events may be held, but the views expressed do not represent the Church, the Presbytery of Milwaukee, or the PC(USA The Session retains the right to deny or revoke facility use if a group's purpose, teaching, or event content, especially if it promotes hatred or violence, is found to conflict with the core values and practices of Southminster Presbyterian Church (USA), the Presbytery of Milwaukee, or the national Presbyterian Church (USA) and its Constitution. Events must respect the sacred nature of the space and not conflict with the church's core values.
3. Safety and Supervision: Per the Church's Safe Church Policy, adequate adult supervision will be provided, especially for events involving children or youth.
4. Setup and Cleanup: The Renter is responsible for setting up, cleaning, and returning the space to its original condition. Any damage will be billed to the Renter.
5. Insurance: Depending on the nature of the event, Southminster may require proof of liability insurance (a.k.a. event insurance).
6. Fees and Deposits: When the application is approved and the contract is presented, the required Use Fee and Security Deposit (refundable upon inspection) are due. All fees must be paid before the event unless otherwise arranged.
The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Southminster Presbyterian Church (USA), its officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or liability arising from using the facilities, including personal injury, property damage, or legal expenses.
