    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Retail Merchandising and Operations Coordinator
    We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Retail Merchandising and Operations Coordinator to support both the buying process and store operations. This dual role requires a proactive individual who is passionate about retail, merchandising, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will assist in product selection, inventory management, and vendor relations, while also ensuring daily store operations run smoothly and sales targets are met.

    KEY RESPONSILBITIES:

    Buying & Merchandising

    • Assist in identifying and selecting products aligned with brand strategy and customer demand.
    • Research trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
    • Support in managing purchase orders, pricing, product information and invoices.
    • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to track deliveries and resolve issues.
    • Analyze sales and inventory reports to recommend stock adjustments and reorders.
    • Help coordinate seasonal buying calendars and promotional events.

    Store Management

    • Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening/closing procedures.
    • Supervise and train sales associates to deliver excellent customer service.
    • Assist with performance management of staff.
    • Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and manage stockroom organization.
    • Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation meet brand standards.
    • Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
    • Help meet and exceed sales and profitability targets.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
    • Retail experience, ideally in a buying or management.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with POS and inventory systems.
    • A keen eye for trends, detail, and product curation.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Full-time position with flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
    • May require standing for extended periods and occassional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
