Alignment Assessment Overview
The Alignment Assessment captures the perceptions from six distinct groups: Staff, Managers, Leadership (Director), C-suite, Governing Body, and the CEO, and evaluates across five structural and ten business Optimization Factors.
Purpose
The primary goal is to identify alignment across organizational factors. When there is alignment, operations tend to run smoothly. However, when leadership envisions a certain pathway and other stakeholders disagree—whether passively or actively—the ability to execute effectively is compromised. This misalignment can lead to delays, rework, higher costs, and decreased capacity.
By isolating and understanding areas of misalignment, the organization can develop realignment strategies to minimize these risks.
How the Assessment Works
This survey captures the perceptions of individuals within each group, providing insight into how well the organization is aligned. Disparities between groups, such as between the CEO and line managers, are typically more visible and can often be resolved through open, transparent communication and collaboration.
However, misalignment within a group (e.g., among line managers) may be more difficult to detect. In such cases, resistance can manifest as an undercurrent, requiring more time to identify and resolve, as these issues are often systemic within the group.
The survey helps uncover both overt and underlying differences between and within groups, supplying valuable information that can be used to address alignment disparities effectively.
Your responses should be based on your knowledge and perception. There are no incorrect answers to any statement. The survey is anonymous and is solely used to baseline the organization in terms of factor alignment. Your contribution is appreciated—thank you.
