Goolaholla! Gang (2025) Volunteer Intake Form Logo
  • Goolaholla! Gang 2025 Volunteer Intake Form

We are so glad that you're interested in volunteering your time and energy at YEAR THREE of Goolaholla! Please ONLY complete this form if you are able to commit to 2 x four hour shifts over our required period. Tell us a little about yourself and what you're into! You are already one of our favourite people... We absolutely rely on our beautiful volunteers to make the festival happen, so let us know what you need for us to be able to rely on YOU!
  • A note on asking for your birth date. The Festival's Youth Policy states that everyone 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. So, if you're under 18 and would like to volunteer, you just need to make sure that you've got an adult attending the festival, with you. Thank you!

  • BASIS OF UNDERSTANDING/CODE OF CONDUCT

We just want to let you know, upfront, the general policies and expectations for all staff, crew, artists and volunteers onsite. We’re using the term ‘crew’ to define everyone who isn’t a patron. Each person will need to be familiar with this code of conduct before they begin working at the event, and by undertaking their position, agrees that they’re on board with the statements below and all implications of the statements.

If you have any questions, please contact us at hello@goolaholla.com

    WELCOME

Everyone is welcome! We provide equality of services and care to everyone of any age, ability, gender, race, religion or belief or sexual orientation.

    ABOUT GOOLAHOLLA! FESTIVAL

    • Goolaholla! is a partnership between the not-for-profit volunteer-driven organization, Big Field Traditions, and The East Pointers.
    • Goolaholla! will donate a portion of proceeds of our event to PEI Mi’kmaq organisations and Souris organisations.
    • We acknowledge we are working on unceded Mi’kmaq Territory. We honor Mi’kmaq people. We actively seek opportunities to listen to, empower and work with Mi’kmaq community… and we’re pumped about it!
    • We work with each other in the spirit of goodwill, shared goals and the benefit of the doubt. We assume each other’s best intentions wherever possible… and it is always possible.
    • We encourage crew to share their preferred pronouns. Pronouns are an extension of one's identity and deserve respect. We encourage the use of gender neutral language with each other and our patrons, and sharing of one’s own pronouns.
    • Harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment and bullying will not be tolerated. We mean, why would it be? We’re a Festival in Eastern PEI, not Altamont. But it’s early days...
    • We expect and encourage a professional, friendly atmosphere within our crew. If you need a refresher course on what might be inappropriate chat or action, just think about Michael Scott. If he would say or do it… maybe don’t say or do it.
    • We maintain a zero tolerance policy for violence, which includes racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, or otherwise discriminatory language. Acts or threats of physical or sexual violence which involve or affect our staff or patrons safety will not be tolerated. This is one hardcore and super clear statement.
    • All event crew (includes staff, volunteers, board members and artists) are required to comply with PEI's current Covid-19 health guidelines.
    • If you do run into trouble once you're onsite, please get in touch with your area manager - the person you’ve dealt with most frequently to get onsite in the lead in to the event. Thank you so much and let us know if we are missing anything!
  • The organizers of Goolaholla! Festival are grateful to safely gather, celebrate and work on unceded Mi'kmaq Territory. We are allied with, and honour Mi'kmaq community and elders, enduring and emerging in strength. A portion of the proceeds from Goolaholla! will be shared with Mi'kmaq community groups on PEI.

YOU are welcome! Goolaholla! provides equality of services and care to everyone of any age, ability, gender, race, religion or belief or sexual orientation. We want YOU.
