  • The Lifetime Achievement Awards recognize outstanding individuals who embrace principled leadership, strategic thinking, balanced workplace values, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence. These individuals have a unique blend of vision, energy, perseverance and skill and have demonstrated outstanding acheivements in operating businesses as well as leadership in the Fox Cities community.

    Nomination forms must be completed and sent in by 11:59pm Friday, September 26, 2025.

    Award recipients will be recognized in a ceremony on January 20, 2026.
    at the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel. 

  • Eligibility

    • Nominees have shown support and commitment to the business community
    • Nominees are commmited to the mission and values of the Fox Cities Chamber 
    • Nominees conduct or have conducted business within the Fox Cities
    • These lifetime achievement awards can only be won once in the same category, except for the Champion of the Chamber Award. See our Hall of Honor here.
    • Previous nominees are eligible for re-nomination the following year
    • All nominations are considered at the discretion of the selection committee

    Important Notice: If your nominee is chosen as a recipient, we request your participation in a nominator video that will be shown during the event. You can view examples of last year's videos here: https://tinyurl.com/53te4r4j. Please reserve November 13 and 14 on your calendar to schedule a one-hour slot for recording this video.

    The nominee will receive an email congratulating them on the nomination and a link to the appropriate award application. This application will be submitted to the selection committee, which will review all applications and choose the award recipients.

  • Award Descriptions

    • ATHENA Leadership: Awarded to a woman who has achieved the highest level of professional excellence. This individual contributes time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the Fox Cities community, and actively assist others, particularly women, in realizing their full leadership potential. (Sponsored by Bergstrom Automotive)

      Nominations for the ATHENA Leadership Award should be based on:

      > Demonstrates excellence in business or profession.
      > Provides valuable service to the Fox Valley community.
      > Exhibits initiative and creativity.
      > Demonstrates support of the goals of professional women and provides unselfish assistance in their behalf.
      > Nominee must be employed at a Fox Cities Chamber member business.

    • Business Leader Hall of Fame: Awarded to an individual(s) who has demonstrated personal and business success, a business leader who has gained recognition and honor for outstanding achievement in their industry, someone who is dedicated to the economic vitality in our community, and is a role model for future generations.  

      Nominations for he Business Leader Hall of Fame should be based on:

      > Enduring accomplishments and local influence.
      > Courageous thinking and action.
      > Individuals whose work has moved the Fox Cities in a better, stronger direction.
      > Individuals who have helped advance the quality of life for Fox Cities residents.
      > Created a positive impact on the business climate of the Fox Cities.
      > Previous winners of the award will assist in nominating candidates for the Business Leader Hall of Fame.

    • Gus A. Zuehlke Distinguished Service: This award is named in honor of Gus A. Zuehlke, a past Chairman of the Board of the Fox Cities Chamber.  In the spirit of Gus’s passion for serving his community, this award is designed to honor an individual who has made outstanding contributions through leadership in the business community and service during his/her years as a Chamber member. This is an individual who has been a job creator through their business endeavors and has made significant contributions as a driver of economic development growth in the Fox Cities. Recipient(s) of this award will have a $5,000 award/grant donated in their name to a charitable organization of their choice.

      Nominations for the Gus A. Zuehlke Distinguished Service Award should be based on:

      > Individual should exemplify the highest business standards and ethics.
      > Sincerely given of their time and leadership through an overall community development program.
      > Has improved the economic, civic and cultural well-being of the business community.
      > Has a proven track record of continued promotion of business growth and prosperity in our community.

    • Joyce Bytof Exceptional Mentor: Awarded to an individual who is proactive in the advancement of others by sharing time, talent and business experience for the purposes of promoting growth and opportunity in our community.

      Nominations for The Joyce Bytof Exceptional Mentor Award should include:

      > Empowers emerging and accomplished leaders with knowledge, skills and network they need to expand and impact their organizations and our business community.
      > Committed to helping others achieve success.
      > Assists in helping others navigate the opportunities within the Chamber to groom individuals into active engaged members as a role model.
