The Board Development Committee is accepting applications for two Girl Board Director positions.
All applications will be reviewed by the Board Development Committee and interviews will be conducted. The selected candidates will be placed on the slate for election at the 2026 Annual Meeting to serve a one-year term.
Position Description
The Board of Directors is an elected group of volunteers who represent our council’s membership and reflect its racial, ethnic, geographic, gender, and age diversity. They establish policy to determine the organization’s direction, influence budget, executive hiring, and strategy. Applicants must commit to attending regularly scheduled board meetings as well as acting as a Girl Scout liaison, ambassador, and spokesperson. While in this Governance position, the Girl Scout may also hold an Operational position, such as employment by the council in a camp staff position during the same one-year term.
