Behavior Leadership Conference Registration

The Behavioral Leadership Academy Training provides staff with comprehensive procedures and strategies that can be used immediately and cumulatively to create a calm, loving, inclusive, equitable environment where ALL students can learn, be engaged, feel safe, and love being in the classroom.Additionally, educators will be provided effective strategies that can be easily implemented to support students in their class who need additional instructions and support with the development of their social-emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and adaptive behavior skills. The training provides staff skills to prevent, guide, and effectively respond to negative behaviors with every student.
Registration Details:
- If multiple members from your district are attending, please utilize the "Name of Attendees" portion of the form to indicate the names of those attending.
- If you register on or before June 13, there will be a $50 discount applied to each registrant.
Conference Details:
- Dates: July 16-18
- Location: Oskaloosa Elementary School (1801 Orchard Ave, Oskaloosa, Iowa)
- Time: 8 AM - 4 PM (with a 90-minute lunch)
Training Focuses:

Day #1:

Staff will learn relationship-building strategies. For example, setting up a classroom that creates a collaborative and safe learning environment for all students, setting up the classroom as a clubhouse with teams, greeting each student with an ESPN greeting, supporting students in the development of student-created class rules, etc.

Day # 2:
Staff will learn control sharing strategies for sharing control on the adult’s terms rather than on the student’s terms.

Day #3:
Staff will learn strategies that they can begin to implement immediately. For example, implementing the argument shield, strategic noticing, calm signal, preventive movement, 42 gentle guidance interventions, and delayed learning opportunities.
